I’ve heard of a horror story of someone thought that bidet was also a toilet & did number 2 there. Hahahaha

Wala naman water sa bidet, I'm shocked that the person thought of doing number 2 there. My mentor friend's bathroom has that and I always wondered what it was for, wala pang google in the mid 90s. I never used it though

BTW, yung bathroom ng mentor friend ko maroon, it's an AWFUL color for a bathroom because of the water stains! Kaya ever since I despise dark colored bathrooms. The bowl and bidet were maroon too I know old houses makulay talaga bathroom, yung 4x4 tiles, pag girl's room pink bathroom, kapag boy's room blue bathroom.

I see. Looks like I'll have to keep a spare or two handy for these.

Will give these a look bro, our 1F bath is in dire need of renovation. Hopefully available at our local Wilcon.

I'm sure it works well naman. But one concern I have is what Bratpaq mentioned:

For undercarriage washing talaga sya bro. I didn't even want to try it coz you know how cold it can be over there. Even in a heated room ang lamig pa rin nung uupuan kasi hindi naman umaabot yung heat sa banyo.

Avoid storing spare flappers ... the rubbers degrade over time whether in water or not ... best to buy fresh rubber flapper as needed ...

Liquid poop is just fine ... besides you normally wait until dripping subsides before transferring and it does not happen often ... one advantage of having separate bidets is you are able to clean properly with soap ...

Because if they use the bolts, it has tendency to cause problems on the flooring since the bolt needs to be embedded in the floor ... which could also cause it to rust ... if installed properly, the cement is not that hard to remove if needed ... cementing it also seals the connection better and prevents leaking better ...

place a watering facility in your garden. they will attract birds.

insects and other animals are fastigious.
they are easily sent away by seeming-minor conditions.

there was a time in subic, when one would see hordes of giant bats, hanging from the trees in vast numbers...
i wonder, have they come back?

the fruit bats in our place are still strong as ever, if the vomited fruit on our cars here are an indication...

Kahit hindi naman separate. One thing I'm proud of sa ating mga `Pinoy- we're "clean" sa katawan.

Tama naman si Kags na wag dapat masyado maarte, but BASIC hygiene, non-negotiable naman yun. Even when living overseas... kami, we'd always have a tabo or two in the house (dala pa from Pinas hahaha) And we'd still shower daily, even in the Winter.

i had no idea how difficult it was, to find a tabo in the usa!
i unhappily settled for a dixie cup na large. bitin pa rin...
some of my colleagues confessed, they purchased a kitchen measuring cup.

At one Bic Camera in Osaka, they had these really long urinals that reached all the way to the floor. (Google "floor length urinal" to see what I'm talking about)

What struck me was a notice (in Japanese of course) saying "For peeing only, DO NOT poo!!!"
I don't know how to upload a pic here sa forum (snapped a pic with my phone), but it also had a drawing of a person smiling and sitting on the urinal with a red big "X" over it.

Kawawa naman yung staff who'd have to clean up that mess. Bwiset na sila siguro sobra kaya they put up that sign

Happy din ang cleaning crew with these siguro. Iwas pilansik.

To the ladies (pasintabi po) but one thing about male anatomy is that sometimes, even if you "aim well" and stand as close as you can to the urinal/toilet... pag "naipit" or whatever, drops may go in the wrong direction pa rin.

    We're only human po.

dad tried to put a male urinal in the bathroom.
mom put her foot down: "not in MY bathroom!"
    end of conversation.

i keep a spare one, even if i know it degrades over time.

if the installed one malfunctions and needed to be replaced,
and i have this one conveniently available,
if it's in good condition, then i have instant repair.
if the spare is too degraded, then i have to go out and buy a replacement. which is what i would have done in the first place, if i did not have a spare on hand.

for piece of mind and possible convenience... mura lang naman ito. 45 bucks, as i recall.

At 45 bucks, that flapper is probably brittle already, when can you buy a fluidmaster at that price, 1970s? [emoji38]

Seriously, even the generic one I bought 5 years ako was already more than 45 kesos.

Haha how is it your mom's bathroom only? Is it because she paid for it?

it was a generic bright blue product that was the cheapest one the hardware store across the palengke, had, back then.
and it was more than 5 years ago, i think. we eventually used it on one of the toilets.

in contrast, a more recent black "easy flow" brand from handyman cost 80 bucks.
this one still seemed 'flexible' enough, even after over 3 years of storage in the storage area. it looks serviceable pa rin.

    heh heh.

    anyways,
dad did manage to put a urinal in the upper and lower baths of the house.
there were four males in the house, kasi.
"it saves water", was his logic.

but in "mom's bathroom", since the plumbing had already been done,
he put a shiney gripo where the urinal would have been.
