A Yankee brand bro? Thought you'd still go Jap or bust even with toilets.

Haha!

Kung baga he'd done a proper (public?) apology so far, without the usual victim blaming or rationalization.

Guys please put the cover down before you flush! Flushing creates aerosols. You don't want poop particles on you hehe.

Lifting the lid on toilet plume aerosol: A literature review with suggestions for future research - PMC

Barker and Jones seeded a toilet with S marcescens or MS2 bacteriophage.12 Air samples were collected in front of and above the toilet seat with the toilet seat lid open. They also exposed settle plates at 5 locations around the toilet, including 2 above and behind the seat. Bioaerosols were present up to 60 minutes after flushing, and all settle plates were positive for all test conditions and sampling locations, demonstrating droplet nuclei bioaerosol. They also examined toilet bowl clearance and bioaerosol production during sequential flushes without reseeding, with results similar to those of Darlow and Bale,6 Newsom,9 and Gerba et al10 in that bioaerosol concentration did not decrease in proportion to bowl water concentration.

Recently, Best et al13 flushed a toilet seeded with fecal suspensions of Clostridium difficile. Settle plates were placed near the toilet and air was sampled at seat height, flush handle height, and midway in-between, with the toilet lid both up and down. Settle plates showed widespread dissemination of large droplets with the lid up but not with the lid down. C difficile was recovered from air sampled at heights up to 25 cm above the toilet seat and up to 90 minutes after flushing, at concentrations 12-fold greater with the lid up than with the lid down.
The poop laden aerosols were also proven to exist in an episode of Mythbusters.

This makes me wonder why some automated toilets that flushes on their own doesn't close the lid automatically before flushing. The lid only closes after the flush.

    What's that shower function? [emoji15]

So the Japanese make better toilets than the Americans? Basta sakin the bigger the bowl and stronger the flush the better.

The high end Toto/Lixil ones parang washing machine Cathy. May several modes ng wash (gentle, wide, twirl, etc) tapos may dryer pa! And heated yung seat. Last time I used one di ko napansin ang tagal ko na palang nakaupo browsing content on my phone

Let me guess bro. Naka set yung bidet seat sa toilet? We also have 2 bidets sa isang toilet at home.

Ang pinaka weird for me yung mga European bidet. Hiwalay sa toilet bowl yung bidet na may sariling bowl.

    Lilipat ka pa

That's about par for the course ... you also need to change the flapper regularly ...

Toto is nice, but the Class Five is something else, w/o the aid of a Sloan pressurized tank....& has great local support, too.

Don't knock it 'til you've tried it ... that's what bidets are supposed to be ... separate ... the separate bidet in the picture is too close to the glass wall ... knees will hit the glass wall when you sit facing forward ... plus this design is more "hygienic" ...

The TOTO toilets are great to use. Most bathrooms in Japan use these high-tech toilets. They are also quite expensive, over 100K after discounts each.

The Kohler Class Fives don't offer the options the upmarket TOTOs have, but they're retailed at a fraction of em nippons.

Or is it more advisable?

Grout and sealant lang na ginamit nila dyan.
