Alam mo kung sino pa ang malakas? Yung 94 year old Lola ko (Mama ng Daddy ko) She is really sharp pa and could walk on her own (no cane or wheel chair) She only uses wheel chair pag mag malling at malayong lakaran and at 94 nakaka pag inspect pa yan sa bukid! That's where she needs her cane kasi hindi even ang terrain. What is more impressive is she has 2 sisters, both alive! Sana abutin ng Mom and second Mom ko that age na malakas pa

Good thing marami ako support system at nagabot yung pagkaka covid namin ng friends and family ko so we share notes and tips.
Welcome back cat! Happy to read your success story about covid. The husband of my sister in law sa Cebu (bilas ba tawag dun) is currently intubated. He is in his senior years and unvaccinated (takot sa vax). His son was afflicted with Covid too but recovered after a week. He is young and fully vaccinated with Sinovac. So vaccine works! Im curious anong ung strong med that was prescribed to you? The bilas was given tucilizumab which was only available from the black market at P90K a vial!

Thank you I hope your bilas recovers soon. My Uncle was also hospitalized for a month or so but he was not intubated naman. He developed complications kasi he is hypertensive and diabetic (taking insulin)

Sinovac does work! Ako naman 3 days lang talaga naghirap. My pulmonologist did not give me covid meds and thought I will ride out covid lang, day 1 to 5 was like normal flu lang. I did not even want to take lab works because I felt okay but come day 6 I had almost 40 degree fever until day 8 when my o2 dropped to 92 and I was told to be admitted e walang room! My pulmo had me take dexamethasone and it was instant relief for me. In one hour bumagsak temp ko to 37.6 and my o2 went up 93 (pero hingal pa rin yan pag naglalakad) That evening my lab results came out so the next day (day 9) I was given additional antibiotics kasi I had BOTH viral and bacterial infection, after taking it lalo ako guminhawa, so day 10 normal na ko pero ang problema ko naman yung Mom ko na nag positive din Makes me wonder nga bakit pinaghirap pa ko ng pulmo ko and not give me meds right away. Pero sabi kasi ng Paulinian friend ko who had covid ahead of me, yung dexamethasone kasi given to patients with cancer WTF! Yung Paulinian friend ko who had covid, almost identical meds kasi except that her doctor gave her as soon as she tested positive, ako naman pinaghirap muna ako bago binigyan ng gamot LOL. Ang nakaka amaze pa ang mura lang ng dexamethasone

Thanks cat. Yeah, tucilizumab is given to critical patients na. The fact that the bilas is unvax and with comorbs, medyo slim ang chance but the family is hoping against hope. Salot talaga ang China!

I do hope your bilas makes it. I pray kay Black Nazarene (proven miraculous) and rosary.

Buti na lang hindi nahahawa dogs sa covid kasi I got exposed Sun (Aug 22) and fat lab slept in my room until I got my positive result Aug 28. Minsan humihiga ako beside her kasi gusto niya i pat siya until she falls asleep hahaha. I was so worried about her on the first 5 days kasi may routine siya and that includes going to my room when she is about to sleep na. Nung una umiiyak ata pero I think she felt nung lumala ako kasi she was well behaved. Buti negative second Mom ko!

Gagawa nga ako ng thread, post ko lahat ng notes and tips kasi malaking tulong talaga. Parang yung nag share kami ng positive friends and cousin ko hahaha! Medyo surreal nga na nag over lap kami

Kapag gumaling ata nagdou double ang appetite. Even my Mom who eats so little and has no interest in food lumakas kumain

PAREX thread in skyscraper city. Very interesting debates and hefty discussions.

SSC is a very good forum as well. If you are remotely interested in infrastructure, modern city planning, building architecture , real estate , bridges, highways, expressways....this forum has tons of videos and intelligent updates.

I read through the thread. Seems like SSC quality declined vs the 2000s/early 2010s. I used to pick up lots of insights there but now the thread is just parroting Facebook sentiments but in English.

I’d like to believe RSA’s heart is in the right place when it comes to nation-building, but personally not a fan of PAREX. I feel the big benefits will be felt just by the car owning populace of Metro Manila (~10% only).

It doesn’t make the commute of the average labor class any shorter. Those with money to buy cars also have the money to move closer to work.

More roads for cars as indicator for progress is also a concept that progressive countries have moved on from.

I’m all for better public transpo. We’re several decades late but we still need to catch up in terms of our train lines and bus routes.

Sign of good public transpo is when it’s faster to commute vs travel by car. That isn’t true at all for any route in Manila.

i look at it with an optimistic eye.
the more alternatives to edsa et al for the driving public,
the less traffic the commuting public will suffer.

May BRT component daw ito. Iyon lang baka ang pamasahe kasing mahal ng P2P.

i believe they have regular lab test.

you don't have to let them inside your haus.
they can do it outside. all they need is a table and a chair.
