I guess I'm old enough to remember when cars were 99% metal on the outside. If it's not metal? It's glass. I lament all the vinyl/plastic I see on modern car exteriors. *SIGH*
I also remember when I can get a whole replacement headlight for my old Nissan Pulsar NX for $30 and put it on myself. Nowadays, modern headlights can cost hundreds or thousands of $$$ and they're made of plastic crap.Last edited by Jun aka Pekto; September 21st, 2020 at 11:27 AM.

to save lives and diminish injury, from both inside the car and outside it.
less metal, more plastic.
less glass, more plastic.
my cars' bumpers are rubberized plastic! they "give" easily! but having to replace them five times, are still cheaper than fracturing a leg or foot bone on a pedestrian.

Mental note. Don't make a Google image search of 7 of 9 when the wife is nearby because then, she gets nosey looking over my shoulder.
