Sadly, I never got to use my PRC license even if my line of work is heavily on the related electronics field.... Communications would have been, but I did not have the opportunity to participate in the convergence... Well it is just a paper hanging on the pride wall of my parents...

Never got to renew it too. Should have been "exempted" from it, but oh well....

Maybe, but not all, meron talagang mga overwhelmed sa trabaho who even work at home on weekends, which I think is the norm right now. These people receive constant upgrading in their field thru company internal seminars which cannot be claimed for points. If you are a pro who is an expert in your field, the courses that are accredited will just be simple nice to have knowledge. In the real world, who hires a pro because he has received trainings on fields not related to the job? Maybe they shouldn't abolish this, but provide better alternatives rather than a offer a few courses. I will bet, that a lot of OFWs attend courses irrelevant to their field as they have no choice but to get what's available during the time they are back here. Waste of time and money, they're better off spending it with their family.

I was referring to FB page #Abolish CPD. Company seminars can be credited as long as you have certificates. Madami din ako kilala tulad ni CVT hindi na nagrenew, wala naman talaga effect if hindi pumipirma. Akong PECE additional kita ang pirma, mga asbuilt ng bahay ngayon ay required na. 15 nalang CPD requirement kahit sa medicine, tatlong araw na tig 8hrs lang yun iand I don;t think in 3yrs time ay walang seminar or trainings, kahit hindi related pede ipa accredit. BTW top10 ako sa boards pero madami kami top10..hehe

hindi naman kasi well thought-out yung CPD law dito satin. For the sake of compliance lang talaga. Di tulad sa ibang bansa maganda talaga program.

Buti pa sa inyo ganyan lang yung number of hours na inuubos for 15 points. Samin sa CHE, kinukuriputan pa ng PRC yung pagbibigay ng points sa mga seminar.

Sa support, araw2 may trabaho lalo na kung 24/7 yung system and you have asiapac, north america, latam, mid.east, europe na offices... possibleng may mga critical issues which will cause $$$ if hindi ma solve agad... kawawa lalo if oncall ka that week... ikaw susuport sa night kasi some office is day time already...

been there before kaya i know how hard it is... sometimes sinasabi pa ng mga friends ko na yung work nakakasira bg friendship. Kasi nga sa sobrang busy kahit weekend may work... hehe...
