this makes more sense than "hustling" theory [emoji23]

I went to the base to check out some 4k TVs. While I was walking at the parking lot, an F-22 flew by doing some maneuvers. I guess the Israelis are still in town.

This reminds me of a story by an Israeli pilot, who's a very good friend.

It was the Israelis who taught the French how to land the Dassault Mirage F1 plane. Previously there were many crashes on landing, and the Israelis figured out a way and trained the French and their customers on the technique....

Remember the potent Mirage-Exocet in the Falkland War?

i always thought f35 was primarily a strategic bomber not a multi-role aircraft
afaik the f35 was not designed for dog fighting but for beyond visual range combat

Yes. That is correct. It is not designed for air superiority alone like the F22 but rather different roles like surgical strikes and etc.

It wasn't very high either, probably 1500 ft above the ground. It nosed down and zoomed away at low level.

I also saw signs of thrust-vectoring. So, there must be different variants of the F-35 present. Anyway, I don't think the F-35 is easy meat. At least, not anymore.
I wonder how it will fare vs the russian s400 air defense system

Probably briefing their US counterparts on the Russian SAMs. I think there are a couple of reasons for the recent aerial maneuvers. 1. The Israelis. 2. There will be an airshow in Phoenix not far from here. The IDF already have the F-35. So, maybe they're checking out the F-22 even though it's not for sale.
