i have been doing this intentional mis-spelling of that word, for some time now. an offshoot of "brakes-not-breaks" mis-spelling.

Mis-firing grammar is excusable in the Philippines since we are not an english speaking nation. Reminds me, how would you say Toronto? Walang mag gogoogle ha?

Yes & no... if you are American, or from Toronto, you’d pronounce it as Toronno. But elsewhere in Canada, it’s Toron-to. A friend who immigrated to the US for past 5 years & visited recently, kept saying Toronno. I go “what’s that”? City in Canada daw. Sa loob ko, Toronno toronno ka dyan, eh nasa Pilipinas ka, walang makakaintindi sayo dito nyan.
That’s why may saying, “when in Rome, do as the Romans do”
