..is it the heirs' (children's ?) lack of... whatever..., that is causing the business to slowly dive into the ground....?
lack of ... interest? ...abilidad..? ..intelligence! ??

some, however, are soaring up higher than before..
co-incident with the well-educated children's easing into the captain's seat..?

parang ang dating sakin nung rich vs. poor parang tulad dun sa topic.. success in life..
kung karera lang siguro ang buhay may nanalo na (rich)..
pero depende pa din sa tao how you define success.. dahil hindi naman tayo pare-pareho ng goal sa buhay.. hindi naman lahat gusto maging mayaman.. at hindi rin lahat gusto ng instant din makamit ang goal.. (mas fulfilling kaya kapag pinaghihirapan ang goal) naging mahirap man or madali kapag nakamit mo goal mo same pa rin feeling nun.. basta masaya ka, successful ka.. ang talo lang yung walang goal sa buhay, walang direksyon, walang purpose at yung mahilig mag compare ng katayuan sa buhay vs. sa iba..

ung iba never na-train mag handle ng business or the parents tried but the kids showed no inclination or interest

kaya when they took over responsibility from the parents, they ran the business into the ground and sold assets

I don't count gifts given or received - what matters most to me are the relationships I have with my truest friends.

This is a picture from our wedding, one of the few times when everyone from my high school barkada was present.



Our friendship has lasted for over a decade - and we've gone from clueless teenagers to curious college students to working professionals, with all the ups and downs in between.
It wasn't the gifts they gave that I cherished the most, but their presence. Some of them had to fly halfway around the world to be there, some had to take on 3 consecutive 36-hour residency duties to free up the weekend, some had to miss other big events - all to show their support for us on our most special day.

I hope that you also have that solid set of friends to count on, minicarph. [emoji4]

In my case, i was the one who did not change. And yet I became the target of hidden envy coz whenever they see me, i look the same as i was 10 years ago. Fit and happy.

There’s just this bad thing in people regardless of status in life. You’ll see it.

This is just so naive uls. The mission of everybody is to dominate somebody, it”s human nature.

Being rich is a form of domination but domination is not exclusive to the rich. I’ve seen it and i’m 90 % sure of it.

Why do people study? So that they can become more educated and then dominate in knowledge.

Why do people stay poor? So that they can become kawawa, and dominate in the play victim department.

Why do parents aim for a happy family? It”s twofold domination strategy, that their family is better than another family and that they can dominate and control their children later on. Dun mo maririnig ang kungdi dahil sa kin , katiwiran pag naging pasaway mga anak, even if the anak only pursues his true passion / purpose.

I have solved the human puzzle. And thats why im reading the bible now to see if this has been happening in ancient times, and it is ...

God will never allow you to have a better life even if you are rich and powerful now, simply because of our true nature, all of us. The only mission is thru him.

Medyo..i can relate, once there are kids involve priorities changed, on the weekends esp in the mornings, ill be busy and unreachable, now its waiting for our kid's practice to finish, well friends dont change, but their priority does, some of them migrate or have personal problems of their own, like taking care of their parents, sometimes theyre sick themselves, others too busy with their own rat race or endevours, sad to say we only see each other at funerals..

Uhnmm...I don't think the poor have the time to prove themselves to the rich. I think they just want a better life. Sabi nga sa comic which I agree from experience, they tend to settle. Okay na sila just getting to a certain point, after all that's still way better than where they used to be. Mindset nila maging empleyado instead of getting the top positions or starting a business.
