Random thought, pareho pala kayo ni Dr Cutie ng education haha! (HS - LSGH and College -UP) I noticed na UPd grads have pride in their school (in a nice not yabang way) It makes me wonder how students were developed in UP for them to be so fond of the school. Ako kasi, I don't care much for my school LOL!

Re: school, UP had nothing to do in molding the students. It is hard to explain but, I tend to think that the students are different thinkers to start with. It’s just that in UP, there is pride in the fact that it is the no. 1 school in the country & being in the company of other “scholars ng bayan” coming from different sectors of society would have an influence on how you think eventually. Remember, UP is a public school while DLSU, Ateneo & all the other schools in UAAP & NCAA are private schools.

He definitely knows, maloko rin noon yun. If he accepts his son’s choice, then it’s not our business anymore. Besides, she’s retired, a successful businesswoman & very different from what she was back then.

How does an Atenean sound like, anyway? Fyi, I am a proud Lasallian, but I am not a fanatic, unlike most I know from either school. I’ve been in a gathering with Ateneans where I was the only Lasallian & my hair stood up on its ends. And its the same way with my HS batchmates. Too much elitism for my taste. I guess my stint in UP made the difference. Met & made friends from different schools & classes. No need to flaunt anything. Lahat parehas.

Hmmm I can't describe din, there is just something, when I was a new hire at work, I was 100% correct in guessing. Haha. The Ateneans I know (GS to HS) are all very kind and modest, kaya I'm fond of Ateneans
