Nagkakagulo sa social media because of these tweets from 2 DFA officials. I believe there's some misunderstanding here or just wrong choice of words. Some people are interpretating it as the contractor "stole" the data. But this may just mean the contractor didn't leave a copy of the data for DFA.

I'm not sure though. Media should have clarified this before running press release with just these minimal information.

Based sa interpretation ko. Contractor just didnt returned the copies back to dfa. They are stored prolly in a data bank. The contractor is keeping it as hostage i think.

I don't think DFA is that stupid, so I don't buy that crap that they are peddling. The contractor story is just a convenient scapegoat. This needs to be investigated further because if that data was really compromised, national security is at stake.
