I'm with the person who told the woman to discipline her child. This is a hot topic on social media, entitled parents who feel like everyone else should understand and adjust to them because they have children.

Also, do ALL 4 yr old throw tantrums in public? I don't know because I am not a mother, only child and no young cousins.

And do I find it rude to play a video loudly in public - child, adult or elderly pa yan. BTW, I've experienced a child kicking the back of my seat on the plane, I was absolutely appalled that the parent did NOTHING to stop his child, and he knew very well what his child was doing. I waited for him to tell him child pero wala, mahiluhin ako so I told him if he could ask his child to stop kicking my chair.

Now let me find that local watch forum thread. I guess isa lang naman sikat na local WIS forum

I don't think it has do with race. Just read the comments on FB, all races may mga tao who complain about parents with the same reasoning na they are children and you can't control.

Oh I just remembered my Mom, of course, she's a mother, but she also dislikes unruly children in public. She'd give me the look when there are noisy unruly children in public.

What can we do about those noisy kids? They're kids.

I think it's up to the parent to discipline their children. If you for one cannot control or discipline your child, i believe you as a parent has failed big time.

Not all kids are unruly in public. The child was throwing a TANTRUM. That means crying and screaming and some kicking. I have friends who told me they never threw tantrums in public as children dahil gulpi aabutin nila sa parents nila.

And yes, dapat talaga i control or discipline, I agree with what the guy said, hindi pwede yung rason na "bata yan".

There was one instance when I heard mass, a child was noisy and running around while the mass was ongoing (we were at the back of the church) Nung umalis na sila, lahat kami surrounding them had chit chat about how appalled we were with the woman and the behaviour of the child.

YES! Mga Filipinos kasi nagtitimpi lang and non confrontational. Mali na sumigaw but the woman has to learn na mali din siya.

Different families will have different ways to discipline/UNdiscipline their kids.

I'd like to believe me and my siblings turned out to be responsible and disciplined adults naman.

The best way to deal with a kid throwing tantrums is to ignore them. Kids throw tantrums as a way to get what they want. Ignore them a couple of times and you won't have to deal with it in the future. We learned it from an elderly couple, works like a charm.

    ganito yun

in refined, polite societies it reflects badly on parents when their children don't behave in public and don't have manners including table manners

so syempre the parents discipline/train their kids good behavior, good manners (saying thank you and please etc), proper table manners etc coz they don't want people to say things about them (image is very important in such societies)

but in less refined, lower socio-economic levels, there's no such thing

    so kids behave like kids
