Exactly. One time I was told in ACE they don't have 75 cents change ata. I refused when the cashier told me kulang. It's not the amount, it's the principle behind it. They're a fcking huge corporation and they can't even have their cash register to have enough coins.

Minsan nga yung ibang cashier, they don't even say na kulang, they just assume that the customer does not mind. We've been doing our groceries at Landmark for decades and it's ALWAYS round up.

Anyway, pag SM topic umiinit talaga ulo ko

Standard naman those senior perks. Free parking and free movies that's the same for Ayala malls. Landmark food court tambayan din ng mga senior.
Sm is just a 5min drive from her house...gives me peace of mind knowing where she is..

Kfc (dito sa ortigas) din minsan di nagsusukli ng less piso. Ibigay na lang daw sa foundation.

Point is, di lang sm ang gumagawa nyan. They are just big enough na marami nakakapuna.

what if the store countered with, "that 100 bucks is the sale price. because next week, the price would be 120 bucks" ?
I thought sir walter was referring to the "cheating" issue, not the price increase per se?

    "cheating can have several definitions."
just because we do not like it, does not mean it is illegal.

as earlier stated, if an item has two prices, the lower price shall prevail.

"i am not forcing anybody to buy my non-price-controlled merchandise."

but yes, if one is a frequent mall-er, one may notice these price issues.
it is nice, if one had a shopping list to stick to, when one went malling. it dissuades one from over-shopping.

Observation ko lang din, they've got a lot of money to throw around para ma-whitewash any negative incident na mangyari sa malls nila.

Even nga yung recent fire sa Megamall, lahat ng news reports about it just referred to them as a "major mall in Mandaluyong" without actually naming the establishment. ;)

Kung hirap talaga sila sa supply ng barya, bigyan na lang nila ng libreng SMAC at gawin na lang nilang points yung sukli.

They should upgrade the cash register same to those they used here in Japan, just put in the cash and voila! Auto change na parang vendo machine.

Well, to be fair, coins can be in short supply. Yun nga lang, that's with respect to mga "small time" retail establishments.
Yung sa grocery ng relative namin, they have difficulty giving "exact" change kasi hirap sila makakuha ng mga 5, 10 & 25 cents, kahit on very good terms sila with nung mga BM of nearby banks where they have accounts.

But for a megacorporation with a bank... kaya gawan nila ng paraan yan.

Magul... este, wa-is itong mga malls. If may retail outlet ka sa kanila, you not only pay them the lease, they take a percentage from your sales too. If you don't open your outlet when their mall is open, you pay a heavy penalty, tapos ALL transactions with them will have to be through THEIR bank, and you need to maintain an account with them with a set amount of maintaining balance.

Laki naman ng kinikita nila sa pekeng sale 😁 But seriously anything below 1 peso seems like a waste of time. Sa taas ng bilihin ngayon dapat ang smallest denomination natin piso na.

Parang sa Lazada lang. Sa ibang items naka sale daw. But if you're not familiar with SRP of different items, Yung sale kuno, SRP lang pala.
