Just this morning I saw a person wearing a white uniform that could be in the medical profession (doctor, nurse or a medical student) driving a vios na nakikipagtalo sa naka-motor na naka-aksidente nya along C5 extension. Yung naka-motor nakaupo sa tabi at may sugat sa binti nya, naka fatigue type shorts lang kasi. I was thinking sa halip na makipagtalo pa yung naka-white uniform kung sino ang may kasalanan, bakit di muna nya gamutin yung may sugat (mukhang malaking gasgas) siguro naman may dala syang emergency kit?

Tsk... family ng classmate ni wifey lahat hospitalized.

Nakatigil lang sila because of red traffic light binangga kotse nila ng 20 year old driver na lasing.

The family wasn't as lucky.

The father nasa ICU with broken ribs sya napuruhan.

Yung toddler and the classmate up to now naka confine pa rin.

Really makes you wonder na kahit gaano ka ka ingat, kapag merong careless talaga mapupuruhan ka.

Dapat talaga pag nakamamam and overspeeding eh bigatan penalty..... nagka-areglo man or wala.

Overspeeding = suspension of license for a year

Nakamamam = suspension for 2 years.

Naka-aksidente with overspeeding = jail time non bailable + bayad danyos perwisyo + 5 years ban

aksidente at nakamamam = non bailable +bayad danyos + lifetime ban

That's not going to work because there are different levels of overspeeding. If the speed limit is 40 kph and you do 41 kph, you're overspeeding.

There are places that will stop you for going 1 mph over such as inside US bases. But, I rarely see anyone get stopped anywhere else.

It's more fair if the penalties are more measured based on how much faster over the speed limit the offender was driving.

In my case, I got a speeding ticket for going 10 mph over. My penalty was $250 plus deduction of driving points or spend that amount on an online defensive driving class and have no points deducted because I had not had a speeding ticket over the previous two years. I chose the latter.

I've been seeing these "fake taxi" stickers for quite awhile now.

Sometimes, I'd ask myself why these people have fake taxi stickers on their vehicles?

Parang ang engot naman ...
