I am thinking about the weather shift where it rains everyday here in MM. Not to flood the area, but just enough to re-fill the water reservoir and cool down the earth.

    Sigurado pang berde ang paligid....

Ang hirap nga lang maglinis ng sasakyan everyday..

Try shared services. Better than BPO in terms of job security and C&B.

Nope, shared service catered to its own subaidiaries or branches (shell, chevron, etc.) while BPO is practically a 3rd party provider such as Accenture, Sykes, etc.

Sa northern QC and Bulacan area, it rains often. When i was at a project there almost every afternoon, ulan based on the rain charts. I guess that's one reason why La Mesa dam is there.

When i drive on NLEX, one area that always has strong rains is the Bocaue portion.

If i am in the shoes of Lina, first thing i will do is clean the image of BOC. Only until then will he be able to implement things without horrors. No amount of law will shield him from backlash if BOC = kawatan.

Mabuti pa ang PNP, in a way they have certain amount of good perception from the public unlike BOC, pag alam na taga customs ka, ang impression kawatan agad. And why not, any customs employee including janitors & security guards who dwell in the slum area?

`Hand of God` untangles Philippine traffic mess
    Last Updated: Tuesday, August 25, 2015 - 11:07

Manila: An 83-year-old Catholic cardinal in the Philippines came to the rescue of thousands of stranded motorists over the weekend after single-handedly untangling a traffic jam in Manila during a typhoon.

Gaudencio Rosales took matters into his own hands on Sunday as he traversed a typhoon-lashed Philippine highway on the outskirts of the capital to help settle a traffic dispute.

"We were trapped for over an hour and we were rushing to another engagement. I said to myself: `we cannot take this anymore,`" the retired Manila cardinal told AFP on Tuesday.

With no traffic policemen in sight amid the onslaught of Typhoon Goni,
Rosales said he zipped up his raincoat and walked nearly a kilometre to find out what was causing the 1.6-kilometre (mile) long snarl, the likes of which have become a daily misery for Filipinos.

"We`re all in a hurry," he said to the erring motorists, after discovering six cars fighting over two lanes in Santo Tomas town on Manila`s outskirts.

As his boots filled up with rainwater, the hooded old man used hand signals to force the vehicles to back up, freeing up the jam.

The rain later let up to reveal a giant crucifix peeking out of his jacket. The chastened motorists then got out of their vehicles to kiss his ring.

"They were very apologetic," Rosales said of the culprits.

About 80 percent of the Philippines` 100 million strong population are Roman Catholic, who are considered among the world`s most devout. Last January, six million attended Pope Francis` rain-soaked Manila mass.

Traffic jams in the Philippine capital of 12 million have worsened in recent months, as the government rushed to build elevated tollways to accommodate the growing number of vehicles acquired amid a booming economy.

Rosales, who is one of the four cardinals in the country, said he endured his share of hours-long traffic jams during his eight-year term as archbishop of Manila beginning in 2003.

But for as long as the gridlocks are there, Rosales said he would serve as a make-do traffic cop given the chance.

"Next time, I`ll be sure to bring a whistle," he said laughing.

so i think weve unwittingly found a solution to this traffic epidemic that is crippling metro manila and is cramping millions of legs everyday -mostly for manual a least.

mmda are you looking at this? priest is the answer and and they are absolutely free. they can also help in rehabilitations of our road. put a basket somewhere in the middle of the road for motorist to drop their offerings. if an INC pass by, ensure to charge him 10% of his monthly salary. profit!

The wife was trying to figure out how we ended up with so much junk (all her stuff, of course ). I told her, it's simple. She filled up a 4000sq ft house back in NY state. Then we moved back to a 2200 sq ft house here in AZ and brought all that stuff with us.

She still can't believe it. *SIGH* Me shakes head...... We need to hold a garage sale fast.

Tolentino as traffic cop draws mixed reactions from motorists | Motioncars

Eh one of the notorious bottlenecks on EDSA is just a stone throw away from MMDA offices.

He just doesn't get it. In fact, if he did his job and implemented sound traffic management policies and actions, he would have been shoo-in for a Senate seat. Now, people despise him for his uselessness as MMDA head(less).

I was heading to NLEX yesterday, kaya pala ang luwag ng Megamall area, andun siya. Yung area dapat for buses, cordoned off para di siya masagasaan and for media posterity. End result - barado ang crossing ilalim cuz private cars are bottlenecked to the 2 inner lanes, and buses on the 3rd lane (usually a private car lane).

There's this classmate of mine from high school who's always ranting on facebook regarding the MRT and privitization through Uber, and cursing all of Uber's patrons. I don't really get why he's so angry with the system since he can't do anything but write about it.

Why do I even bother reading FB anyway haha
