It feels strange to be home with no one around. I'm taking my annual leave.

Sadly doing a great job + kissing ass > doing a great job alone > just kissing ass with mediocre performance.

That's the way it is in the environment I work in. I don't condone it but I have accepted it.

I know how to play hard-ball, if the situation calls for it,- and I know that I am pretty much effective at that. (Magmura na kayo,- basta Ingles,- walang problema - Tagalog naman ang aking first language e)

Office politics (in my case,- almost all, with Corporate),- I can live with it,- for as long as it is addressing most of the pressing issues, and we have visions of their resolution.

But kiss-ass people? I look at them with amusement and disgust. Shallow ESDs..... (eat sh!t & die).

Dont you have ombudsman or a venue to send anonymous concerns to management? What about HR, do they provide venues for staff to share their concerns freely like townhall sessions or skip level meetings? I think office politics will only get worse if executives themselves are practicing it and the company does not provide avenues for employees to vent their opinions.

Cat, paano ba ung performance appraisal process nyo? Anong ginagawa sa poor performers?

I think that kind of environment encourages mediocrity. Some management tolerated this para ma-justify ang position nila and feeling nila sila lang ang magaling and lahat ng staff ay tanga.

^ in the uniformed service, we only knew two words, and the powers that be thought we were geniuses, and that was "yes, sir!" may kasabihan pa: "you wait until you become."

personally it doesn't feel strange at all if you've been doing it so often but it does for a first-timer though. super tipid nga lang yan sa labada mo. hehe

OT - Bro, I wanna thank you likewise to french, CVT etc... for your tips re: must see places in Turkey. I really enjoyed our Turkey tour but you guys forgot to mention the hammam (Turkish bath). I guess you missed this memorable experience. Haha. It was my 1st & probably my last time a guy touched my a** while performing a full body wash afterwards doing a full body massage....

True for the uniformed personnel but in the corporate world, we were taught to question the status quo.

What's the best way to commute to SM Megamall?
    or
Forget the hassle of commuting and just be brave enough to ask to borrow the car...

Hindi. Naka 10th gen. Passenger. Naka rayban na kulay green. Pa yosi yosi pa. My Mom was right not to buy me a gun or I would have shot that asshole in the face. Dunno if he noticed that I am a girl since my car has really dark tint. But it happened in broad daylight. What the hell is wrong with men who rage on people weaker than them. Bakla.

I was in line at the parking entrance which I think he was not aware of, or king kup*l just wanted me to reverse so his car could enter easily. I think delivery kasi siya. Ang laki naman ng space to maneouvre. Anyway I got his plate number. Pag sinipag ako I will report him to building management.

Siguro 90%. Dalawa lang ang kilala kong kalbo na walang yabang or angas. Theory yan ng ex ko and I think he is right. Actually yung isa dating mataba na chinese na naka black sir at mahilig i headban yung sunglasses. Pero payatot na siyan ngayon. Saka sa daan lang maangas pero mabait in person.
