Of course it is. Inflation will just eat away your savings in the bank.

It's very easy to beat inflation (~4%) with the stock market. Even a UITF will most likely beat inflation. Right now is a good time to invest because the PSEi is a bit on the low side (7100 level, which is lower than the 7300 year end forecast).

Just keep an emergency fund in your bank account, then invest everything else. That way, you don't have too much liquid money lying around, tempting you to spend.

I am thinking that I really do not want to be on the road late night of Christmas day.... There are a lot of DUIs out there,- accidents waiting to happen.... Traffic pa in some parts of the metro... But for wide open roads, accidents with these people (dui) can be fatal....
