Ginto maintenance ng mga luxury watches, so talo ka in the long run.

I agree with macsd bili mo ng lang ng gold or diamond then tago mo sa vault kung investment ang nasa isip mo.

stainless steel would have been a good choice, but i doubt if they could have sold them at the rock-bottom prices consumers associate with the brand..

hmm, so hindi lang pala tanggal battery, vacuum seal, throw it in vault and forget about it pala. Google first bago bili :p

and i can see it now... binili ng napakamahal.. multi-carrot and solid gold or platinum.. keep in vault for 10 years.. tapos, linabas and... verdigris!!!

Deym! It looks like any ordinary watch to me bro!

One reason i wanted to buy a rolex WAS for investment cause they say its value goes up. But after seeing the rolexs in greenhills hindi na lang.

The value goes up after 100 years.

You can't just keep expensive watches in an ordinary vault. It has to be in a watch vault that rotates the watches so the mechanical system will keep functioning. Some models also need to be oiled for maintenance every few years or so.

the only real investment i can think of... is real estate. unless they go and decide to build a dam...

everything else... is hit or miss... depending on how long you are willing to wait.

Most rolex's go down in value. Only the special editions and rare ones appreciate. A submariner, explorer, yachtmaster, etc will all go down in value as they are very common and there is a lot of production for these models. There is no way that a used 'common model' rolex will sell for more than a brand new one.

Only rare, limited edition, one of a kind rolexes go up in value. Dont make the mistake of telling yourself a watch is an investment.
