    Elephant
Elephant - Slow and ponderous as the gentle giants might appear, they are highly prized as trusted and tireless transporters of people and goods, carrying them surely and securely over great distances.

On the road the motorists who come into this category strive to ensure that they, and their passengers, arrive safely after a journey which has been as comfortable and as relaxing as possible.

As an elephant driver your main aim when behind the wheel is to be reliable and dependable rather than speedy and risk taking, even if journeys take a little longer.

A nationwide UK survey by Dunlop found six out of ten (61%) motorists were this type of animal with the highest proportion being among the over 55's (79%) and the lowest among the under 25's (48%).

Elephants are more likely to be women than men (66% vs. 56%) and to drive only occasionally.

    Your Strengths:
Elephants are safe and reliable drivers who strive to ensure their passengers enjoy an easy ride.

    Your Weak Point:
You miss some risk free opportunities to reach your destination more quickly.

    Routes you relish:
The M4 at 5am on a summer's morning to avoid the hassle and danger of rush hour traffic.

Gorilla ako! ako lang ba gorilla?
    Gorilla
That hoary old joke which asks "Where does a 500lb gorilla sleep?" and answers - "Wherever it wants!" - perfectly describes the first impression made by these giants of the jungle. They may not be the fastest beasts but their strength and power means they have no equal.

It is the same with drivers who come into this category - their aim is to dominate the road - if not by the size and power of their vehicle then by the assertive way in which it is driven.

As a Gorilla you must take charge of the road, never allowing yourself to be bullied by other motorists and to seize every opportunity to use your muscle to get ahead of the rest.

A nationwide UK survey by Dunlop found almost a third of motorists (31%) come into this category with the highest proportion being among younger drivers - almost four out of ten (39%) were under 25 compared to just one in six (16%) of those aged 55 and older. They were more likely to be men than women, to be passionate about driving and to do so frequently on both business and pleasure.

    Your Strengths:
You are a very confident and assertive driver who excels in heavy urban traffic where it is important to seize every opportunity.

    Your Weak Points:
You are not sufficiently aware of or sensitive to the effect of your driving style on other road users.

    Routes you relish:
A frequently used, busy urban/suburban A road where every nuance and overtaking point is known intimately.

    Panther
A fast and nimble hunter the Panther uses its stealth and speed to survive. It starts by stalking its prey before suddenly launching itself into the attack.

Road Panthers are also famed for their sudden bursts of speed which leave other motorists a rapidly dwindling dot in their rear view mirror.

As a Panther your driving passion is the thrill of speed and the exhilaration which comes from pressing the pedal to the metal. Your main aim when motoring is to reach your destination in the shortest possible time by overtaking as swiftly and as frequently as possible, even if this involves taking some risks. You loathe delays, hate hold-ups and are easily angered by the behaviour of some motorists.

A nationwide UK survey by Dunlop found one out of twenty-five (4%) motorists identified themselves as this type of jungle beast. Panthers are more likely to be younger drivers, men rather than women and are spread equally throughout the country.

    Your Strengths:
You reach your destination rapidly and seldom waste time when behind the wheel.

    Your Weak Points:
You are inclined to take risks so make sure they are always calculated.

    Routes you relish:
A demanding two carriage way B road, where out braking and out manoeuvring reaps its rewards.
