If you are a beach guy then it can't get any better than el nido. Beautiful awe inspiring scenery. The limestone karsts and lagoons are breathtaking.

Best to be with friends or a loved one. To share the experience. But if you just want to get away from it all you can do that too. There is zero nightlife there though. I would say you would need some budget for the boating and sightseeing, beachcombing activities.
