Remember, for other schools NOT to accept him, it has to be approved by the DepEd Secretary, according to the link you posted. So final say is still with the DepEd Secretary, not the school.

So I guess according doon sa link yun dismissal is the same with exclusion? And no prior approval needed from deped which I think what happened here since dismiss na nila agad.

So meron talagang "expulsion na penalty tayo at least according doon sa deped order.

Sakto pala pagpirma ng Pinas sa convention na yan dun sa nangyari sa school namin, same year. I don't know what happened to the kid. Umalis na ng PPC family niya eh.

So I don't know if that convention saved him. But during that time when the penalty was meted out he was not allowed to enroll in any school.

Di bale shadow. Hindi pa huli ang lahat. Open ka school UST-E&HS Academy or the like. Tanggapin mo si julia montes, better yet irecruit mo. Tapos i-expulsion mo agad the next day after enrollment niya with Reco to DepEd.

Para masubukan natin kung ano gagawin ng DepEd. Hindi na babawiin ng Ateneo kasi decision nila eh. Huwag mo ba lang pansinin heart comment ni Mr. Big. Ayaw niya yang expulsion eh

If that's true and they have proof. It just cemented my belief that a mere dismissal was a pussy move by Ateneo.

Personally, I can't imagine a 12 year old selling drugs (valium, right?) inside a private school campus, but I could be wrong. I have heard one enterprising HS student renting out Playboy magazines to students many moons ago when the internet was not yet fashionable in our country. S3x in private schools, yes, but drugs? Hard to wrap my mind around it. Public school setting, perhaps?

Have you any experience or knowledge, sir, of any school that recommended expulsion (as in cannot enroll in any other shcool in the Philippines)? Personally, I have none. Though I've heard and known, personally, and from friends, quite a number of schools that enforced "dismissal". The first I've read of expulsion was actually here from sir Ry_Tower. My point here being is that it seems that schools very very rarely recommend expulsion.

Even our beloved president was not dismissed from San Beda for shooting someone. How stupid was that for San Beda?

Well, I'm thinking there must be a compelling reason why expulsion is rarely implemented. Truth be told, though, I'm good with dismissal. As to addressing the problem and correcting it, it will take more than Ateneo alone to solve it. There's the courts, for example. And of course, the parents have a big role too in correcting their own kid. Other schools will also be forewarned because transferees need to submit previous school's records and clearances and /or character recommendations, etc. If other schools do their due diligence, they won't end up accepting a problem kid Maybe they'd recommend a thorough psychiatric evaluation to go along as condition for acceptance?

Schools tend to use both terms loosely kasi and gave the impression that it means thesame thing. When i was at HS i keep hearing students getting "expelled" for bad grades. LOL mas lalong double whammy na yun when what they really mean is dismissed.

Personally i think there wont be a shortage of kids who want to get a piece of him if hes recognized, lots of alpha bullies out there or it could be simply "test your might" mentality when they see him.

Pa lamig sya cguro muna, a year or two in homeschool or something.
