& to think that mr. hill was inside the vip lounge when the security check was made. halatang-halata naman sila.

Well, it backfired on them, maganda naman ang reaction ni Mr. Hill, di katulad ng mga VIPs dito sa atin, puro reklamo. Sana nga every politico that goes to the states be subjected to 12 hrs. interrogation, with questions like, who's paying for their trips.

It surely backfired. It just made our people look more proud then they should be.
When America started taking photos of people arriving from other countries at their immigration lines, I think it was Brazil that did the same thing back to Americans ONLY.

What did the visiting government officials from the US do? Nothing SMILE! In the end naman we do these things at our terminals because its OUR security we are trying to protect. They do it on their soil, go ahead, its their soil. Even their own Vice-President is not exempt from their own security checks.

What made ours look bad is that we have high ranking government offiicials, in the newspaper, boasting how it was done for "payback". I mean, security go ahead, for pride of a single senator?

It would be totally different if Senator Loi arrived in the USA and beforehand gave notice to the Philippine attache in the place of her arrival to give her diplomatic passess, but from what I read, she arrived on a commercial flight with her grandchildren without informing our embassy!

Even Drilon got pissed a long time ago for being asked to take off his shoe remember? Then when he was asked if he requested to be escorted by the Philippine embassy for some diplomatic courtesy he said he did not and just felt he deserved it being senator!

We have simple guidelines to follow, well especially in other countries where their rules are strictly enforced. In our airports such bravado can be done out of fear and patronage but in other countries such bravado needs some paperwork too.

    Just being a devil's advocate

:bwahaha: Ha ha ha!Oo nga ano?! Dapat gawin na ring ganyan! He he he!!

Napakahangin nga naman ng mga politicos, senador o congresista, as if hindi alam ng mga taong bayan na binili ang mga botong nakukuha nila, except for a very few politicians na gusto talaga ng mga tao.

Remember ko lang nung conflict between Senator Jinggoy Estrada and the former Head of the PNP na sinabi pa ni Jinggoy on a privilege speech sa Senate floor na "was it the right way to treat a person holding a high position on public office?" NGEHHH!! Such an airhead, if I may say! I bet ya, if hindi sa pera, hindi siya manalo! Mas saludo pa ako sa PNP head na may nakikita ka talagang list of accomplishments sa RESUME' niya! Yun lang po!

sana nga hindi para balikan lang yung mga amerikano, kaya ginawa yun kundi may good reason talaga behind it. i kinda feel differently, kasi what happend to loi, has already happend to me kaya may empathy ako sa kanya.

It happend sa Charles de Gaulle airport, after going down the plane and lining up sa immigration, they separated all those with FILIPINO passports, there were about 15 of us, and we were all detained and questioned for the next hour to hour and a half tapos we were released.

It's a story though.

Kulang Lang Sa Pansin talaga mga aroganteng officials.

    Chill!
