    We don't get dust storms at our home. But, to our north, dust storms are very frequent. Last Tuesday, we got hammered by severe thunderstorms. Up north, they got this (photo from the local news):

    The one and only.

    The monsoon season just started. But, every thunderstorm we had overhead was like this one. We just had solar panels installed too. The thunderstorms here are like mini typhoons.

    170 pala namatay sa japan dahil sa floodings ng monsoon rains. wala pang typhoon iyon pala. dala ba iyan ng muntikan ng bagyo na dadapo sana sa atin last week?

    it must have been really a non-stop downpour considering their drainage systems are pretty sophisticated

    TROPICAL CYCLONE WARNING
    ISSUED * 5AM, 17Jul2018

    TD HENRY HAS MADE LANDFALL OVER DALUPIRI ISLAND CAGAYAN & IS NOW HEADING TOWARDS THE WEST PHIL. SEA.

    Occasional rains w/ gusty winds are still xpected over areas under Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal (TCWS) #1.

    Southwest Monsoon will bring monsoon rains over Metro Manila, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Mindoro Provinces, Palawan & Western Visayas, & scattered rainshowers & thunderstorms over the rest of the country. Residents of these areas, especially those living in low-lying and mountainous areas, are advised to continue monitoring for updates, coordinate w/ their local DRRMOs, & take appropriate actions against possible flooding and landslides.

    Sea travel is risky over the western seaboard of SouthLuzon, while fisherfolks & those with small seacrafts are advised not to venture over the seaboards of areas with TCWS #1 & seaboards of rest of Luzon.

    HENRY is xpected to exit PAR today 17July.

    * 3AM today, LPA was estimated based on all available data at 825 km East of Infanta, Quezon. This weather disturbance may develop into a Tropical Depression in the next 48 hours.

    Location: * 4AM today, the center of TD HENRY was estimated based on all available data at 95 km West of Calayan, Cagayan.

    Strength: Maximum winds of up to 60kph near the center & gustiness of up to 75km/h.
