    Fortunately the circulation of this typhoon is compact... Going to pass between Taiwan and the PHL... but landfall will be very close to HK...

    I love surface analysis done by hand. The older weather guys love it. A lot of the younger folks hate it though.

    I'd say PAGASA has improved by leaps and bounds from a decade ago.

    Walandyo,- I read somewhere yesterday that we are not expecting rain in the next 3 days....

    And so, when one of our kids wanted to have his haircut last night,- I drove him in our van.... (the sky was clear last night before we left home, although there was a show of lights in the horizon)....

    Paglabas namin ng Mall one and a half hours later,- ang lakas ng ulan!

    I was watching our street as water was pouring in generously and for over half an hour....

    Hayyyzzz,- linis na naman kagabi.....

    According to the forecasters for RPLL (the airport), they expect rainshowers and thunderstorms. Give enough room for daytime heating to build up the clouds for afternoon/evening thunderstorms.

    I was driving home in the deluge last night as well. When i got to our area, i passed by my lola's home to hose off the car then i drove to my abode. I wiped the windows, and terry toweled the hood and roof (car was clean before the strong rain, and i waxed it this past weekend) then washed down the remaining overspray from the side with my trusty portable water container. When i drove out of the basement this morning, car was pretty much very clean with no water marks. :D

    The airport expect isolated afternoon showers.

    Can't avoid not getting showers somewhere in the metro when the wind flow is coming from the sea. The only way to avoid any sort of rain is if there is strong wind flow coming from the interior aka a drying flow.
