22C for a high temperature where I am. It really is starting to cool down. I recall October last year was warmer. I guess I can spend more time outdoors.

If I was the one forecasting, I would have it raining the whole time with a temporary condition of the rain stopping. Or just have it rain the whole time. It's been raining all night so far.

The forecaster at Manila Airport had predominant conditions as not raining with occasional periods of rain. He should have made it rainy for the whole period. It's been raining there continuously since last night.

Or, it should have been rainy with occasional periods of no rain.

I'm no expert on Philippine weather. I mean I'll apply basic principles which can get me lucky. But, I would have to spend a lot more time there to get a feel for local effects such as terrain.

Weather isn't just forecasting the conditions. It's also issuing advisories and warnings, knowing where danger zones are (mudslides, flooding). I don't envy the PAGASA folks. They have a lot to do.

Here where I am? Oh look. There's a cloud.

If I ever work there, I'm happy to remain a simple (low-paid) observer. I just report on what is actually out there and not forecast what's going to happen. I don't need anymore stress in my life.

These are our hourly observations over 24 hours. CLR means clear skies. I decided to check the PH because I was bored to death ;)
