I'm glad I do my own weather forecasting because if I depended on the Internet and TV for my 5-day outlook, I'd be pulling my hair out.

Hopefully it won't spoil the SEA Games... But PAGASA said it won't be enough to fill up Angat...

A new Tropical Storm 29W forms in the western Pacific - #KAMMURI is strengthening and could potentially become another Super Typhoon this weekend >> Severe Weather Europe

Storm is currently packing maximum sustained winds of 50 knots and central pressure around 989 mbar. Kammuri is expected to continue strengthening and is likely to begin rapid intensification towards the end of the week when it could potentially become a Super Typhoon and reach Category 4 or even Category 5 strength!

For us here, it's the second straight day where the overcast clouds are so thick we couldn't tell whether it's noon or 0530 AM (lights on all day). It's also somewhat cool at 50F (10C) and rainy.

The rain is beneficial because we didn't have much of a monsoon season this year. But, man. It's so dreary. Still, our inconvenience is nothing compared to what will happen to those in New York. When the Low system over us reaches New York, they're going to get dumped on bad. Well, I used to live there. So, I learned to dread any Low coming up from the southwest US.

Oo nga. The dams need a good amount of rain right now.

Sabi ng mga bata dito, signal number 2 tayo pero wala naman ulan.

Storm Signals are based on windspeeds, not rainfall e.g. Ondoy was only Signal No. 1

Yung sa mga bahain na lugar...

Based on the NOAA latest satellite imagery, Kammuri is holding so much volume of water larger than that of super typhoon Haiyan (local name: Yolanda).
