In my experience though, snow means the temperature rises up a bit to allow precipitation. It's when the precipitation stops and the sky clears up, then the temperature drops.

I don't mind the cold but what I don't like is the shoveling part. Sometimes, I have to clear a path for my vehicle when it is covered in snow.

A Pinoy family friend who works for a construction company makes money on snowy days. He bought an old snow blower machine from his company for a dime and he brought it home to clear sidewalks of his neighbors. They were happy to give him $50 for each house he clears of snow. On summer, he cleans their gardens for the same amount.

Naku, buti na lang di ko nakasabayan yan back in my day. I'd never be able to compete with that.

It would be like a small Mom & Pop store vs. a new Wallmart in town. Death knell na yun.

Kita nyo sinasabi ko dati na wag katakutan ang ulan kasi tubig is life.

But na lang hindi pa apektado kung saan ako work and nakatira. Nasa tunay na quezon city kaya ako. Malakas pa pressure dito. No water tank needed here.

Believe me pag nagka disaster yan ang mahihirapan. Isang floor ilan nakatira jan tapos ilan ifflush na toilet bowl. Paano kung wala flush ilan days eh sakit aabutin.

No more condominium please. No more small-lot cheapipay townhouse.

A bahay eh dapat malaki lote. Minimum 300 sqm lot area.

sa mga ganitong scenario, thankful aka kasi mga cars ko wala gano borloloy and plastic trims , at least madali linisin and the wash can last 2 weeks kung walang ulan

and also ever since 2016, nag minimalist na talaga kami ng wife ko sa gamit sa pambahay, as well as clothes, pinipili talaga namin mga tela na madali laban

can't help but remember that fb post Dati nun nagkarun ng drought, yun farmer ang nasa dinner nila mga agricultural products, tapas yun mayaman ang nasa dinner table nila puro Pera nasa plato

these are signs of times indeed. if really there is an El Nino pero Baka nga kasi nagkarun na ng pole shift eh, the magnetic north is now in Siberia not in Hudson Bay sa US

Isa pa yan. May alam ako kilalang car wash sa banawe eh deep well. Nakausap namin more than 10years ago.

May nababasa ako mga tarpaulin "NO TO HIGH RISE"

Dahil jan nagkakanda traffic tapos kakapal pa mukha wala mga parking, balandra sa gilid. Bantay si barangay tanod.

El Niņo to blame for Manila Water woes? Data doesn't support it

WATER WOES. The MWSS and PAGASA are not buying the explanation of Manila Water over the water shortage in parts of Metro Manila and Rizal. Photo by Darren Langit/Rappler

MANILA, Philippines – Ayala-led Manila Water repeatedly told media outlets and the public that El Niņo and the low water level in the La Mesa Dam caused the widespread and surprise water service interruptions in parts of Metro Manila and Rizal.

However, the company left out several details as to where Metro Manila gets its water supply.

Data also does not support the claims of the company. Even experts and regulators seemed to refute the explanation.

Where does Metro Manila get its water supply from? Manila Water said it implemented operational adjustments amid the declining water supply in the La Mesa Dam.

The dam's water level is at a critical level of 69 meters, a 12-year low.

But this does not give the entire picture, as water from the La Mesa Dam is only a reserve in case the Angat Dam's supply gets too low.

Around 96% of Metro Manila's water needs are supplied by the Angat Dam.

What is the situation in the Angat Dam? Data from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) showed that the water level of the Angat Dam is around 200 meters, below the normal level of 212 meters.

While it is below the normal level, it has not reached the critical level of 195 meters.

What do the experts say? Hydrologists and climate experts from PAGASA are puzzled as to why Manila Water is attributing the supply issues to the La Mesa Dam's low water level.

PAGASA is also not convinced that El Niņo is to blame for the water service interruptions.

"Kung El Niņo ito, dapat 'yung ibang dams din nagbabaan, eh hindi naman," said Rusy Abastillas of PAGASA's Climate Monitoring and Prediction Section.

(If it were El Niņo, all dam levels should have dipped as well, but that's not the case.)

Moreover, Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System Administrator Reynaldo Velasco told CNN Philippines that the water from the Angat Dam is still "enough."

"I think Manila has always been drawing some water from La Mesa Dam. I told them that's supposed to be reserve, but they have been drawing water. That's why it's now on its low," Velasco said.

How about Maynilad? Manila Water has been suffering supply woes, but its West Zone counterpart Maynilad is not. Both companies draw water from the Angat Dam.

"Right now, Maynilad is not affected by a supply crunch due to El Niņo. We get our raw water supply directly from Angat Dam, which is currently at a normal level," Maynilad corporate communications head Jennifer Rufo said.

Rappler repeatedly texted Manila Water for an interview, but did not get a response from its corporate communications officers. – Rappler.com

Buti maynilad kami. Mas magaling si pangilinan magtrabaho. (wag lang sa PBA hahahahh)

Ano nangyayari sa ayala group of companies bakit naleleche.

Paging cathey girl, yohooooo!!!! Itong favorite mo ayala eh ilan years na bumoboplaks.

Deep well plant in Cardona will soon be activated by Manila water...

Maynilad agrees to share supply with Manila Water | ABS-CBN News

By the end of March, Manila Water is also expected to activate its water treatment plant in Cardona, Rizal, which can provide another supply source.

The National Water Resources Board, likewise, will activate deep wells to provide more water supply to households.

"Papayagan na sila ngayon na i-activate yung kanilang deep well para maka-generate ng 100 million liters per day, so that's about 200 million liters," Velasco said.
Good luck. Edi lalong lulubog ang area na yan.
    Too shortsighted.

I was actually dumbfounded at the way Manila Water handled it. Too many mistakes. Tapos when it happened, hindi naman nasunod yung schedule. Some places didn't have water for 3-days. Yung nasa list, meron tubig.

Beqcuse they didn't expect the spiked in usage when the announcement came out, at least thats what I think.

I'm assuming bigla tumaas yun gumagamit at nabawasan yun pressure since halos lahat nag ipon ng tubig.
