When spring did come in May that year (April was still below freezing), we were all so excited to go out that we were playing hoops outside in 45-50*F weather.

The only time I was in Arizona was in April 2011 when I visited Bullhead and it was really hot (100*F).
We spent over six years in Upstate New York. I wanted to stay there because it's beautiful country. I love cold weather. But, my wife and kids had had enough of the six-month winters. So, we moved back here in Arizona. Good thing we didn't sell our house here.

I spent some time in Illinois when I cross-trained to the weather career field. I also spent a semester at the University of Illinois. Winters weren't as bad as in Upstate New York. But, summer is tornado season.
