Okay so I said I was hoping for a good weather when I left the house, apparently it wasn't granted.
I traversed EDSA around 1PM, good thing I followed my instinct to bypass the P. Tuazon EDSA underpass & passed through the stretch of P. Tuazon instead headed to Santolan. Baha na yung underpass. No can pass through. I reached GH around 2pm. This is when I'm done dropping off the relief goods I packed. Headed home around 3:30, by then Tomas Morato was already flooded. Despite the detours I took, it was inevitable to not pass through any flood. Good thing the one I went to was only an ankle deep. Kaya naman ng Vios ko... then I arrived the house around 4.
I volunteered myself to be a "temporary" enforcer since several roads were already chest deep. I was shocked that an L300 could make it while a Fortuner cant. Sinabihan ko na kasi yung Fortuner not to go ahead but still tinuloy niya, ayun tumirik tuloy. Hahaha! I guided car after car where they could pass, an Explorer backed out.. heck even a Hilux didn't try... That's how bad the flood is.
Anyway, since the time I went home electricity was cut. Ngayon ngayon lang nagkaron. That several hours of downpour reminded me of Ondoy, definitely. Difference is, Ondoy happened in the morning while this happened in the afternoon.
There's no need for me to move the car to a higher place. So far my house isn't reached by the flood yet. Sana humupa na. I don't want to sleep at night thinking that when I wake up in the morning an unwanted situation already happened.
