ano kaya nangyari sa mga billboard sa edsa?
this is the time na SULIT ang bili ko sa gen set namin...kahit minsan ko lang nagagamit...![]()
^^^ Diesel na ba ang genset mo bro?... I am having problems with my gasoline-fed genset... Dahil e10 na ngayon.....

Noynoy is pissed that PAGASA waited til 11pm to announce that Manila will directly affdcted. I think he should rely on the internet more than PAGASA.
I don't rely on PAGASA for my weather updates, especially with typhoon path predictions. I already knew by 5:00pm yesterday that Metro Manila was going to be directly hit by the storm. I already sent TXT messages to my sales people and staff to take proper precaution because the storm will be at Metro Manila by the forecasted time of 2am.
The website I check is http://www.typhoon2000.ph
Most of our big trees that are vulnerable already went down during Ondoy... minor lang damage dito, but we had a short scare when the river rose twenty feet in less than one hour when the typhoon hit Cavite. PAGASA kept saying the typhoon would head north... instead, the eye went right over us here in the south!
Ouch. When you buy a genset, buy diesel. Diesel gensets last longer. You can't get them in the same small sizes as gasoline sets, so you have to spend more up front, but at least you can run them for longer periods of time.
Looking at getting a secondhand one and running it on veggie oil.
Annnnd now we have power.

For those who lose internet and TV coverage during brownouts, you can get updates from Typhoon2000 by texting "T2K TYPHOON" or "T2k TYPHOON SIGNALS" to 2800 (Globe/TM) or 216 (Smart/TnT).
The T2k TYPHOON SIGNALS update is useful for knowing if your kid will have school... but to know whether to run to the hills in fear, the T2K TYPHOON update is better.
Save it on your cellphone now. It comes in handy. I've been using it all night.

Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
Thanks for the info.
PAGASA sucks.
Good thing our area, which was heavily flooded by Ondoy due to proximity to Laguna Lake, had damn dry streets. No flood.
kelan ba tumama ang pag-asa...
FLASH REPORT!
Philippines to acquire Paul the Octopus due to its high prediction success rates! :hammer:
wala pa ding kuryente! hmf! wala na kaming tulog... may pasok pa sa trabaho...
its so easy to blame PAGASA no? pero the agency is a victim of neglect all these years. they probably have good forecasters, but without the right equipment, training, forecasting will always be BS.
On the other hand, i cant understand why the agency seems unwilling to use the internet for info just like T2k.
speaking of generators, kailangan ba itakbo ito at least once a month kahit may kuryente naman para hindi masira. grabe kagabi wala charge laptop and cellphone ko. talagang caught unprepared sa bagyo. maybe i need to consider buying a generator for the house. my only concern is baka kalawangin or masira kagad since paminsan-minsan lang naman ang blackouts
Grabe ang trapik kanina along Sucat Road going to SLEX.....

T2k is more of a link page for other countries weather webpages. The least PAGASA could have done is accept help from other weather agencies. The 11pm bulletin by PAGASA didn't even reach the public since more than half of the city was with out electricity...
