well, this kind of marketing tactic probably came about because of the habit of most Pinoys to ask questions like "Tumatatangap ba kayo ng...." or "Gumagawa ba kayo ng..." when looking for service providers. So, instead of saying "Pwede po kaming tumanggap ng...", what these establishments say is "Tumatanggap po kami ng..." para hindi na siguro tanong ng tanong yung mga customer. If I remember correctly, I encountered a survey some years back whereby the survey documet stated that most Pinoy would likely to conduct business with a shop that has the phrase "We Accept" emblazoned on signs instead of having "We Offer". Para daw mas positive and dating nung "We Accept", he he he.
