"PRO-IMPEACHMENT lawmakers will no longer file a petition at the Supreme Court questioning the decision of the House of Representatives to dismiss all impeachment complaints filed against President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and will instead take their case to the streets, a lawyer for the group said Thursday."

Band of Brats strike again. They have no respect to the institutions of which they are part of. Kung feeling nila may prinsipyo sila, resign nalang sila. At least yung Hyatt 10 had the balls to resign.

why would someone give respect to the institution that would not even allow the impeachment proceeding to begin? why stop the investigation if she is not really guilty? probably the filipino people deserve a president like gloria and the goverment that you have now. i've seen how marcos fall...gloria may last for more years but i'd bet she won't finish her term until 2010...and i don't think she'll have a good place in philippine history.

    - The Leftist movement has yet to come forward with full details on the infamous Kampanyang Ahos / Oplan Kadena de Amor / Oplan Missing Link / Oplan Olympia witch hunt, a widespread purging of the communist party amid reports of infiltration by military deep penetration agents (DPAs). This atrocity saw innocent communist cadres being interrogated, put to trial and ultimately executed by their own comrades, on baseless accusations that they were military spies. A haunting example of party paranoia.

    - 'Mr. Clean' Ping Lacson has yet to be truthful regarding the Kuratong Baleleng rubout case, the money laundering charges against him, and the disappearance and eventual killing of PR man Salvador 'Bubby' Dacer and his driver Emmanuel Corbito.

    - The Estradas have yet to come clean regarding charges of plunder against their patriarch and ousted president. Their various delaying tactics are slowing down efforts by the Sandiganbayan to resolve the case in the soonest possible time.

You want closure? You want the truth? THESE PEOPLE owe us THE TRUTH, way before Gloria Macapagal Arroyo ever did.

THESE PEOPLE have FAR WORSE SINS to confess, and be SORRY for.
not a good excuse to hide or belittle gloria's SIN. just because other commited a bigger crime, it doesn't make gloria an angel. she is still i sinner. kung ganon lang naman nag reasoning nyo, eh ilabas narin natin lahat ng nasa kulongan kasi anyway mas maliit ng di hamak ang ginawa ng mga nakakulong kesa ginawa ni marcos, erap at gma.

Read my previous post. I didn't say that Gloria should go unpunished. History, at the very least, will decide if this should be so.

What I said was that her very accusers have their own ghosts in their closets. The public is very much aware of those ghosts, which could be one reason why support for their campaign to oust Gloria is very scarce. In order for the opposition to be credible enough in their crusade, they must first acknowldege and come to terms with the controversies and issues raised against them. Otherwise, they're not fooling people into joining their lost cause, except the hopelessly gullible.

As the good book says, "Let he who has sinned not, cast the first stone."

Besides, nobody is preventing them from trying again next year, when they will hopefully have a stronger case and less dubious characters among their ranks.

not allowing the proceedings was a choice of their institution .. right or wrong .. congress made their decision .. they may not agree with the result .. but that's how the process works .. they could've raise their concern to the supreme court .. but i don't think they have a strong case that why they don't even want to go there and have the SC uphold what congress did .. double black eye yon .. so they just go to the streets .. if they're so disgusted with what happened .. they should resign .. but of course they won't .. they'll claim that they'll stay for the sake of their constituents .. *sigh* ..

i won't buy this idea. gloria is not the head of the churh...she is(?) the leader of the country/government. kung ganyan lang reasoning...eh di it will easily make gloria happy. why use this line kung yung tao na gumawa rin ng kasalanan eh walang konsensya? this line from the bible can only be used by the PURE PESON who died 2000 years and not by anyone else. so many people are abusing this line from the bible just to get away from their sin. anothe rkind of lame excuse.

    Then don't.

An elected leader, borne out of a democratic process. Such as with all things associated with democracy, it is only as good as the countrymen that make it work. The country is merely reaping the fruits of its own negligence. Punishment it may be, it is time for this society to grow up, accept it for what it is, and move on. Let this be a reminder for everyone to be more vigilant the next time around.

Last time I checked, the man who taught that lesson made ABSOLUTELY NO DISTINCTION between the sinners and the saints, the righteous and the wretched. So that bit of wisdom was meant to be imparted to everyone, not merely to be kept to one's self. And keeping in mind the free will granted upon every human being, however we choose to use this teaching is entirely up to us, with the afterlife being the only fair judge of our actions. Check your religion to be sure.
