A Mitsubishi L-300 van exploded inside a gas station along North Edsa, Caloocan City at 11:30 AM today.

According to fire investigators, the van was loading gasoline into containers inside the vehicle when a spark triggered the blast, engulfing the station in flames and spreading toward a nearby bank.

The driver was partially trapped but quickly rescued by medics. The fire was contained by 11:45 AM by the Caloocan City fire brigade.
