--Misleading measure of quality of life. Some scholars (from "other" schools of thought think otherwise)think that its too neoclassical, absolute measure arbitrary measure.
--The quest for a "real" measure of "well-being" or "quality of life" continues...
I think in Nordic Countries (e.g. Finland) and Japan boast of the highest national suicide rates....
--Oh well...these are the same guys who pegged absolute poverty threshold at US $ 1 day....

November 29th, 2007 06:58 PM #16Well our country is not poor as most of us thinks..... Some of foreigners whom i have talked to are quite surprised after living here in our country. it is not as bad as it is percieved from the outside, that is always what they tell me.

I remember I had a scandinavian classmate before who's still the prettiest girl I've ever seen mags, tv, AND movies included -- next to my wife syempre. I was tempted but she was waaaay taller than me.
