AFAIK, Iceland is not covered in ice, I think you're refering to Greenland.

I've been to Naval Air Station (NAS) Keflavik back in the 90's. Summers are too short and gloomy. Winters are harsh and gloomy. The place is much too cold year round, even for me.

When it comes to islands, I rather be at the Azores than iceland. I also spent a short time in Lajes Field, Azores. Much nicer in my opinion.

I much prefer the year-round balmy, clear skies weather of Arizona. Besides, I like to wear as little as possible. Try driving without a t-shirt on in Iceland. Brrrrr .
