Dear Friend:

Unang Hakbang Foundation (UHF), a non for profit foundation helping street and out of school children from poor urban communities, will run its 4th annual “Talon, Takbo, Likha” from April 10 to May 5. In cooperation with The Philippine Ultimate Association (PUA) the governing body of all disc-related sports and activities in the Philippines. PUA is a non-stock, non-profit volunteer organization of enthusiastic Ultimate players together with one of its active team, MONSTERS.

Talon, Takbo, Likha is a 4 week sports and arts summer program for children in the poorer sections of the city. It aims to keep them off the streets and away from drugs, by providing them with fun learning experiences. This year we have set ourselves to make TTL 07 the biggest ever and we are aiming to have a total of 1000 participants involved in at least one of our 10 sport and arts programs. This includes Ultimate Disc where Team Monster and members of PUA have volunteered to teach the children.

With this we are asking for your help in this endeavor of ours. The funds we will receive will pay for the food, giveaways and different expenses of the event. Any amount will go a long way in helping our kids to take that “first step” towards building a child’s competency and self esteem, and ultimately raising their aspirations - the will to succeed. We would also like to invite you to contribute any other products that can serve as prizes for the children, and to provide us with banners to be placed at the different program venues to acknowledge your generous support.
