    DIGITAL Mobile Philippines Inc., which operates Sun Cellular, on Tuesday, said it will invest $200 million to further expand its network.

    William S. Pamintuan, Digitel senior vice president in a briefing also said that Sun will be expanding its network capacity to six million subscribers by year-end from its current capacity of two-million.

    Pamintuan said that the $200-million expansion fund will be sourced through internal generated funds and foreign borrowings.

    Pamintuan said that Sun has already invested $500 million in the past two years.

    Pamintuan said that they expect to have 2,000 cell sites before year-end from about 1,400, which covers almost 80 percent of the population.

    BTS, BSC, MMSC, SMSC, TX, ANC, GPRS, HLR, OC...

    now let me see... I was part of the Site Acquisition & Marketing Logistics Division before... then I would be rolling out the Inventory Management, Asset Management & Plant Maintenance modules for Network Equipments after my training... and yes, I know the start to finish cycle of our industry (and not just a miniscule technical aspect) - everything flows to SAP whether they like it or not.

    P.S. av8or5, you know Sirs Orly S / Mon DG / Mel O / Robert G?

    I never really liked SMART. They always seem to be playing catching up with everyone else. Catching up with Globe when SMS came out and now catching up with SUN with the CTU offers.
