Ganitong gasgas nangyari sa sasakyan namin dahil naman sa mga naka tambay dun sa carwash shop. Habang nag aantay ng turn ko para linisan ung sasakyan, etong mga nakakita sige ng kutkot sa hood.

Source lang ng info ng mga tao eh newspaper, TV, radio.

Ngayon naman, sobra-sobra dami ng info na nagkalat.

Result : information overload, and panic-stricken populace, especially those closely affected by Taal.

Lahat sobrang natatakot, lalo na basahin mo yung history ng eruption ng Taal, noong 1754.

Kahit ako natatakot.

Yan naman ang "curse" ng sobrang bilis makakuha ng info.

Kaya minsan ayaw ko na mabgasa.

Meron ako in-law, mid-30's, sa kababasa ng tungkol sa mga sintomas ng kung anu-anong sakit, iniisip niya baka may hypothermia na siya.

Phivolcs also noted that another indication of an impending explosive eruption is the intense seismic activity or the 335 volcanic earthquakes recorded since Taal’s phreatic eruption on Sunday afternoon until 10 a.m. Tuesday.

According to Phivolcs, they have recorded earthquakes as strong as 4.1-magnitude since January 12. It said such a degree of tremor from inside the earth is considered powerful for a volcanic earthquake.

I’m reminded of an entry in “A Diary of the Japanese Occupation” by Father Juan Labrador, published by the UST press:

“There were rumors that the advancing Japanese had poisoned Manila’s water supply. Not too long afterwards, some folks started complaining of stomach pains.” (Note: the rumors turned out to be false)

79 years later, ganyan pa rin mga tao, mas mabilis lang kumalat ang balita and speculation ngayon.
