Ito ba yung mga squatters between Odeon at Manila City Jail? Halos nasa gitna ng kalye sila . Dumami pa noong pinaalis yung mga homes along the riles. I hope Mayor Lim will prevent them from re occupying the land, but with election coming...

The fire is still ongoing as of 7:15 p.m. and has been raised to General Alarm.

It has already reached the LRC compound and the female detention area at the Manila City Jail.

The Manila government had already asked neighboring cities to send firefighters to assist in putting out the fire, the report said.

There is only one available fire hydrant near the area.

Police Inspector John Guiagui said the fire could have been caused by an electrical short circuit from a jumper wire, or an illegal electrical connection. - RJAB, Jr./GMANews.TV
