    From a friend's FB Page...

Erap recently increased realty taxes 200% in some cases...

For the past years it has always been a problem for us with regards to the vendors. Sad to say, We store owners paid so much money for permits and licenses and yet the benefits goes to the sidewalk vendors. What's happening to Manila? Calling the attention of Mayor Erap & Vice Mayor Isko Moreno. This is particularly in Evangelista street bgy 307 Quiapo. Salamat!

If the Manila government clears all the illegal stores along the streets and side walks, I think that will cure the traffic problem by 50% (in that part of the metropolis).

The streets may be clear, but the side walks are not. Stroll around the area of Quiapo, and you will know what I mean. Some vendors are literally "living" on the sidewalk. Pedestrians have no other recourse but to walk on the street.

Went down to Quiapo a few months ago. Somebody is literally raising a pig on the bangketa.

i had the misfortune of walking through the Recto/Reina Regente intersection last Christmas, bitbit pa ng mga cake na pasalubong. Lost my patience and started shoving people. Happy(?) Holidays!
