My father was a smoker and my brother is a smoker (cigarettes) but I have never picked-up this habit.

For the record, I do have an occasional romeo y julieta cigar but I can't even finish 1/4 of the thing. It was only recently that I realized that I like the smell of a good cigar, lighted or not

I don't like smoking. I don't like smoke at all, in any form.

Mahina pa naman ang mga lungs nating mga Pinoy, almost all of us are predisposed to TB, so I heard.

Sa mga smokers, please do blow your smoke away from other people, it means a lot.

i stopped beginning of july. and it was an abrupt stop (although the decision to stop on that particular date had been done 2 months ahead). That two months served only as the mind-conditioning stage. It really was an abrupt stop, from a pack a day to zero. We were actually in a bar drinking on that night and at the strike of 12MN, i gave the left-overs from my pack including my lighter to a co-alabangerz.

I salute you for that! Just like I salute my father for quitting abruptly around 35years ago. Mind over flesh...

from smoking 1 1/2 packs a day (marlboro reds or military blue seal), i quit cold turkey on november 19, 1999

i have not touched a single stick ever since

my main concern is second hand smoke though from office mates and co-workers especially during meetings and i just remind them nicely about its ill effects on non-smokers

I've been a smoker for more than 20 years and just recently quit last Sept 8, 2008 for no reason at all.

Now, I don't have the urge to smoke and gets nauseous when I smell cigarette smoke.

    Unfortunately, I'm a second smoker.
I hate the smell of cigarette smoke.

Unfortunately, I have to pass by places such as the front lobby of our office building which is teeming with walking talking chimneys.

Nope. Saw neither the need nor the point, more so now that I have a kid of my own.

Nyet. did try for an occasional puff during my college student days...but did not see the point nor have the acceptance to pick the habit.
