Sa Magic Mall po, meron na. They only started offering it I think last January. Before that, I had to buy my quickmelt either in Dagupan or Tarlac City. Oh well, at least marami kaming tupig dito![]()

Good points:
1. Less people will travel in nearby SM malls thus, minimizing traffic flow esp. in M,mla
2. More job opportunities to our kababayan .
3. Sign of progress, tax collection for the host province.
Bad points:
1. Instead of utilizing the land as agricultural business (rice field, etc) they will construct, this massive concrete structure.
2. our young people, will shift as sales ladies/men instead of helping their parents run their agricultural lands.
3. No more green fields sceneries while driving , instead you will see giants bill boards,,hehe para ka ring nasa EDSA...
ok rin naman since people don't have to go that far to go to a mall... dati luluwas pa kami sa Maynila para makanood ng sine.
a few years ago... parang palengke na ang SM North & SM Megamall... ngayon medyo nabawasan.
though tatamaan dito yung mga small establishments nearby... yung Robinson's Starmills (Pampanga) ok ang ginawa at ininvite nila mag setup ng shops ung mga un sa foodcourt nila.
I think having SM is good in the sense that they know how to attract & keep a crowd. the problem with those local tents is that more often than not they do not know how to run & market their commercial spaces for their tenants. Yung alam lang nila gawin is to make stupid excuses, collect rent and little else.
Local businesses dying out is just a sign that they're inefficient and do not meet the needs of their customer base. The comparison of K-mart to SM is a bit slanted in the sense that K-mart/Walmart does everything in house while SM's half in-house & half 3rd party commercial space provider.
With SM's expansion I hope the other mall operators will expand as well like Ayala, Robinsons, Araneta, etc. The balance of power must be preserved or else SM will slack off.
Last Tuesday was the first time I was able to set foot inside SM Pampanga, and I was amazed at how large it was compared to our existing malls in Pangasinan. I suddenly remembered a lot of the things I missed about living in Metro Manila --a gigantic Ace Hardware, National Bookstore, St. Paul's, Hahn Manila, a gazillion different restaurants.
That's why I was pleasantly surprised to read this article in a local newspaper yesterday --> http://www.sunstar.com.ph/static/pan...n.rosales.html
Yun nga lang, sana hindi ma-aggravate ang traffic situation sa Carmen pag natapos na yung mall na yan. Nasa national highway pa naman sya.Saturday, November 24, 2007
SM to put up mall in Rosales
ROSALES -- The plan of SM mall management to put up a branch here is now on the go.
Rosales Mayor Ricardo Revita said SM officials came to the town last October 16 to inform him that they are planning to construct a mall in Barangay Carmen. He said they later discussed things like the local laws being implemented here and other matters.
The company has already paid the zoning fee. Laborers are now clearing and cleaning the area.
According to Revita, the SM branch here will be named SM Super Center Rosales. Initially, the mall developer will construct one building at their nine-hectare property.
The SM land is located along the national highway, beside the old common public utility vehicle terminal.
Revita said it is a strategic area as Rosales is at the center of the provinces of Pangasinan, Tarlac and Nueva Ecija, and it nears La Union.
"Our vision of turning the Carmen area as an investment hub is starting to be realized. We believe that once the SM mall is constructed, other businesses will follow. This would mean more employment for our town mates and taxes for the local treasury," he said.
^^ Di maiiwasan yang traffic. Yung sa San Miguel Tarlac yung Luisita Mall, dati nung wala pa yan, smooth ang traffic. Ngayon parusa nang dumaan diyan.
