If I remember correctly, the land on which SM Aura is on was donated by the Ayalas to the Taguig government for the purpose of relocating the Taguig City Hall to enable people to get easier access to the services of the local government. However, the Taguig City Government decided to lease the property out for development and the winning group was SM. SM Aura opened with a bit a fan fare and that was that...

However, recent developments have reverted BGC to Makati. Does this mean that the bidding that happened for the land on which SM Aura is on was illegal? The Makati government will be pursuing back taxes from the Taguig City Government. I can imagine it would also push for the reversal of a lot of controversial cases such as this. I am highly curious as to what the next step might be for the Makati government with regards to BGC. I already heard on the news that taxes will be raised. Trouble in paradise.

parang naisahan ng Taguig government ang Ayala's dahil ni lease kay SM Prime ung lot area? sana may stipulation si Ayala sa contract nila na hindi pwede gawin mall ng sm prime or other property developer.

Consistent with the BGC going back to the coffers of Makati....

Sabi rito sa "old poor side of Taguig"...
