    how old were you when you bought your first car out of your own money?

    since i am in college i've been dreaming of having and driving a car. . . when i became a lawyer at the age of 26, turning 27, i thought i can already buy one, but i was on a tight budget, pamilyado na kasi, so i waited for another 3 years. . . i was already 30 years old when i bought my first car, 2nd hand na nga lang, nag-loan pa ako sa savings and loan association para lang makabili pero galant naman, matic pa.

    buti pa yong friend ko, my classmate from elementary-high school, pagkapasa sa bar nong 2008, binilhan ng parents nya ng brand new toyota corolla altis. . yong another friend of mine, 3rd year pa lang sa college of medicine nong 2004 or 2005, binilhan din ng parents nya ng brand new toyota vios . iba-iba lang talaga ang swerte ng tao. . .

    how about you guys?

    pero iba naman ang feeling na we were a able to buy our own car out of our own money di ba? this is a sign of our success. then, my next project would be buying my own house and lot, then, brand new or slightly used SUV naman. hehe!

    ganon din po ako. i purchased my first car on sept. 2009 lang po, but i'm planning to preserve it/i-vintage kahit na makabili pa ako ng another car/SUV in the future.

    yon nga e, pati sa car maintainance, medyo nahihirapan pa akong mag-budget lalo na kung sabay-sabay ang household expenses. samantalang yong iba, professionals na, binibigyan pa rin ng parents nila ng allowance/financial aid. kung minsan, nakakaingit talaga. pero siguro, someday, yong mga bagay na di kaya sa ating ibigay ng parents natin e, maibibigay natin sa mga anak natin.

    now i'm a proud owner of 3 cars and 2 motorbikes,talagang hirap at pawis kasi ang puhunan kaya masarap ang pakiramdam pag nakikita mo ang pinagpaguran mo:cool01:;

    Bought the first car with my own money at age 26, ni-loan ko sa bank but I paid 60% DP (ayaw ko kasi yung masyado malaki ang utang), it was a 2003 CRV, yun nga lang, sold it after 3 months and bought a second hand MB. I used the proceeds from the sale of the CRV then paid off my bank loan, yung sobrang pera ang pinangbili ko ng MB. That was the last time na bumili ako ng car under financing.

    success story na pala ang buying a car

    i thought a success story is like building a restaurant brand and selling majority stake to Jollibee for P3,000,000,000

    I really admire those people who became financially independent and were able to make big purchases in their 20s. I can't figure out how some people do it. In my first job my officemates and I were even abunado with our salary. I couldn't even afford to pay for gas then.

    I do hope someday I could afford to buy my own car or even better buy my parents a car
