...and it aint ever coming back....

Thats what you call brilliant strategy. Destroy a market you have painstakingly built over 2 decades in less than a year.

Yes Germany is hesitant in delivering Aid to the Ukranians....pls see chart below.

Here is just a few things they have given off the top of my head:
    1. Patriot batteries
    2. IRIS-T sam systems .... these two are just one of the most lethal and effective AA missile systems in the world. The ukranians themselves have said the Iris-T system has a 100% success rate hit rate. Do you know how many lives and infrastructure that has saved? Sadly ukraine is so large you need dozens or hundreds of these batteries to fully cover everything.
    3. Gephard twin auto cannon anti aircraft ...extremely useful against shaheed drones of Iran
    4. Marder APCs
    5. Armored cars
    6. Anti tank missles stocks TOW etc
    7. Anti aircraft manpads
    8. 155mm tracked howitzers and ammunition
    9. MLRS

Am sure there are dozens more . Hesitation in delivering MBTs doesnt mean they are owned by the USA. Even the USA was hesitant. The french havent done it. Only the UK was the first in line with Challengers.

Dont mistake strategic caution as puppetry.

the US is using Germany in the European theater

and Japan in the East Asian theater

    both with little choice

    "limited sovereignty"

    vassal states

Germany and France are the de facto leaders of Western Europe. They arent vassals to anyone. Aligned goals, security interests, seeking energy independence and supporting a brave country that was invaded by a beligerent super power neighbor is not vassalhood.

The Americans cant even own congress straight for 2 elections but yet they own Germany. Sure.

China must be bitter it doesnt have vassals yet.

US bases in both theatres are mutually beneficial. If you think the security umbrellas they provide are immaterial to those countries then i have something to sell you.

Of the 3 only Brazil has a credible armed forces and weapons industry right now. We buy aircraft from them. Argentina was gutted after the 1980s loss to the UK and Colombia is no better than us, taking old SoKor ships, just like us.

the West wants latin american countries to donate soviet era/russian made weapons

    Jan 20

On Thursday, Gen. Laura Richardson, the head of the U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM), acknowledged that Washington has asked several Latin American countries to donate military equipment purchased from Russia to Ukraine.

She mentioned that the Pentagon is working to replace the Russian equipment with U.S. equipment "if those countries want to donate it to Ukraine.”

Currently, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru, and Venezuela have Russian weapons, according to the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).

I could be wrong but apart from Nicaragua, and Mexico only Peru uses Soviet planes and IFVs in Latin America. Those you mentioned had ex-right wing governments in the Cold War. I doubt they have Russian weapons.

These tanks will definitely make the war for Russia harder and bloodier to prosecute. Good.

Ukraine has a real chance now to outfit an armored division (300 to 500 tanks) and restart its counter offensive.

Soon ground launched small diameter bombs. 150km range.

Russians are finding out why USA has no universal health care.

    This is a non starter.

    1) they arent affected by it
    2) they dont stand to profit from it
    3) they dont have large armament stockpiles

So whatever efforts they throw at pressuring this bloc will have no effect.

Not choosing sides and staying neutral doesnt mean you have a spine.

On the contrary, standing up to the Russian bully who wields nuclear weapons is a sign of guts.

    Nice try.

And its nice to know the USA has Japan (#3 economy), Germany (#4 economy), France (#6 economy), UK (#7), south korea (#10) as its allies.

Whatever the argument...the industrial might and persistence of these economies will grind dowN Russia. For good.

why the US needs to break up Germany and Russia romance

    2015

    George Friedman (Stratfor)

The primordial interest of the United States – over which for a century we have fought wars (the first, second, and Cold War) – has been the relationship between Germany and Russia. Because united they are the only force that could threaten us. And to make sure that that doesn't happen.
The primordial fear is German technology, German capital, and Russian natural resources, Russian manpower as the only combination that has for centuries scared the hell out of the United States
