Another icon of our childhood has passed away. Rest in peace
i never really watched the show for that long, but he really seemed like a nice guy. di mo akalaing one of the founders of Republic Broadcasting Co.(aka GMA)

This is really sad...I remember attending a kid's party where he was the host. Grabe ang bait talaga sa mga bata...and every kid went home with a nice toy that day...me included.
We'll miss you Uncle Bob.![]()

70s pa yata nagumpisa si Uncle Bob.
I used to watch them when I was a kid for the lack of kid's entertainment on TV. That was still before dumating Voltes V. Gigantor pa yata ang cartoon noon, Popeye at si Gumby.
....any details? di ko ma-google eh. honestly, i thought he died years ago.
"Pam-pa-ram-pam-pam!" Wawa naman sina Spanky & Pancho, naulila na sila.Originally Posted by badkuk
Aside from the Lucky 7 Club Show on Saturdays mornings, di ba may late night show din siya every Tuesday or Thursday na parang musical?
By the way, according to an uncle of mine, illegal alien daw dito yang si Uncle Bob dati and when he was about to be deported, nanawagan daw siya sa mga bata to tell the authorities not to do so. Don't know if this is true.
i heard it on the evening news...and there was an ad in the Inquirer Obituaries earlier this week. dunno kung ano ikinamatay
Nakasulat sa obit "Founder" ng GMA-7. Sa States siya namatay but will be buried in RP.Originally Posted by badkuk

I loved his shows when I was a kid, he already had a children's show in the late 60's. May he rest in peace.
