Reminds me of when I was kid in Guam and we went to mass. My mom's friend was putting on make up before mass started and the priest happened to see her as he peeked out to look at the crowd. When he finally came out for the mass the first thing he said after greeting everyone was "this is a church not a beauty salon, if you are going to put on make up make sure you do it before coming here." He would even tell parents who had children running around "if you can't control your kids in church you need to learn how to discipline them so they don't treat the church as a playground". Of course he also had shortest mass because he just got to the point without the long stories during his sermons, if he felt people were doing the wrong things he would let them know it.

1. Gusto mo ba na magkaroon na ng sense of religion ang anak mo as early as possible? 2.

Pero 2 years ago, syempre yung baby iyakin pa, baby yun e.

People were also bringing babies to Jesus to have him touch them. When the disciples saw this, they rebuked them. But Jesus called the children to him and said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like little children will never enter it." - Luke 18:15-17

Hehehe..Last Sunday at church while the priest was saying his sermon and said something to the effect of "Let us call on God..." and right after he says that a cell phone rings, and he comes up with a quick one liner turning to the individual and says "Look God is calling you now". Everyone just started laughing while the person started turning red. I guess were lucky that all our priest here are from the Philippines and have a very good sense of humor. When the Warriors were still in playoffs after mass they would mention the team during a prayer before final blessing, at least it worked and got us past the first round.

    my take on this....

i believe that culture has a part on this. yes, we were born and raised as catholics, but if you would analyze most of us were raised by our parents that we have to go to church, as an obligation. sa atin, ang pagsisimba eh bahagi na ng sundays natin, without knowing why are we going to church? or what is the purpose of doing it?

tama yung sabi ng iba. ignore them for those people are ignorant.

i'm sorry to hear that..... kami bad trip din sa ganyan... sorry for the word. but ako kasi d ko kayang tiisin, lalo na yun nagkwentohan sa loob ng simbahan as in sa malapit pa nakaupo. tinitignan ko, at pag d makuha sa tingin, sitsit ang abot or bubulungan ko ng "sa labas ka na lang muna, nasa simbahan tayo e." :-)
