[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=feCyBY7jvUk"]YouTube - mike francis let me in original 1984[/ame]

Francis formed his first band at age 14 with schoolmates from l'Istituto di Studi Americano in Rome. He had his first hit with "Survivor" in 1982 and went on to record ten studio albums.
Among his best known works is also the title Friends, from 1985, a duo with Amii Stewart.
"Since 2000, assisted by his brother Mario (Mari-One) and by the Maltese multi-instrumentalist Aidan Zammit, he has given life to MYSTIC DIVERSIONS." (Source: http://www.mikefrancis.it/discografia_en.htm ) [1]
Songs by Mystic Diversions featured on many high-profile "chill-out" or "lounge" compilations. In addition to new, original song material, the group by Francesco Puccioni (Mike Francis) also did covers of famous 80s songs like Float On (by the FLOATERS), or "Warm Summer Night" (by CHIC).
MYSTIC DIVERSIONS: Francesko (i.e. Francesco Puccioni), Mari-One (Mari-One Puccioni), Aidan Zammit; Live set additional musicians: Drums: Agostino Marangolo, Bass: Fabio Pignatelli, Guitars: Marco Rinalduzzi, Percussion and vocals: Giovanni Imparato, Vocals: Wendy Lewis, Vocals: Laura Serra.[2]
His album "Inspired" followed the cover of Van Morrison's "Someone Like You", realized together with Blank & Jones for "Café del Mar 12". His website states: "From that moment many other songs were born, in a simple and spontaneous way, simply "inspired" ..."[1]
Francis died aged 47 on January 30, 2009 of lung cancer in Rome.[3] His last compilation album "The very best of Mike Francis (All was missing)" was released just days before his death.

Songs, scents, places and people of our past have their distinct place in our memory. The things we grew up with whether in the 60's, 70's or 80's will forever delight and bring a smile to us now as in James Taylor's "Places in My Past" and "Long Ago and Far Away".
    1. Beatles music in '69, Cant Buy Me Love was my first memory of a song..big and long Fords were everywhere. TVs were black and white and an endless speeches by then Pres. Marcos on Channel 9..
    2. Jacksons 5 and The Boyfriends in the 70's, Music and Me and One Day in Your Life brings back elementary days as well as Voltes V! The Lancer L-Types, the Starlets and Corollas..Crosby shoes and the original El Bimbo record! along with Perez Prado's brand of chacha. ( LP records are what you spin during those days )
    3. early '80s were Air Supply and Chicago, mid-'80s Mike Francis, Simply Red. Electronic games were just Game and Watch and Space Invaders in parlors. Nike shoes..
    4. late '80s and early '90s college days na with U2, The Cure et al, Pearl Jam and Collective Soul..and then Gameboy na.
    5. The onset of the new millennium up to the present makes little difference in terms of song relevance compared to the past maybe because of other important concerns like family..and problems, job..and problems!, though Eraserheads, Siakol and David Cook strike the right chords enough to remember them by say after another 10 years more.
