we have one of those spring-loaded cages... ginagawa lang namin pag nakahuli, ibilad sa araw! diba umaga naman nakikita pag may nahuli, pag binilad, wala pang tanghali, patay na yan! wag na kayo magsayang ng tubig.

OT: E yung POSA ok din ba?
Seriously, I would vouch with Racumin mixed with a little of leftover food. Rats will die of dehydration. Rotten odour of a dead rat normally takes place but the smell will fade until its gone eventually. Yung rat ang problem mo di ba? So, you must live on with the unfavorable smell for awhile. This way, you are determining the method to be effective. Without the smell, the rat/s lives on.

    eto po ung pics.

    pag nakaset na ung trap:

basically me isang pan na naka "seesaw" sa loob ng box. you put the bait somewhere on the closed end of the trap; mouse goes to food, "see-saw" goes down and springs the trap:

hmm, just realized that i shot the wrong end of the trap. anyways, you guys get the idea

    fyi, pinoy invention to B)

I just want to update you Guys about our rat problem. I bought the rat trap cage sa ACE. It's around P119. Last stock na nga e. So I went home, put cheese as trap (sosyal ). Guess what, the bastards got the cheese without setting out the trap. Damn! The rats in the house are giving me nightmares. One night I felt when I was half asleep Big ben was on my foot. Worst, he ate bit a part of my badminton shoes.

This really freaked me out, so I bought this ultrasonic rat repellent at Handyman.

    Here's what it lookslike http://www.epinions.com/pr-Pest_Cont...splay_~reviews

It costs P1,890. Kinda pricey but hell as long I get rid of these vermins. So far so good I havent seen one for days.

Frankly, the best long-term solution against rats is to keep a cat.

hmm...dunno about that. afaik, some house cats don't bother hunting mice anymore, nadomesticate na ng todo. ung pusang kalye naman, more of scavenger na sila.

That's hilarious. Did you ask ACE for a refund? I'd like to see their faces when you tell em what happened.

Kung paisa isa di mauubos yan..Get professional help yung pest control tapos ipasabay mo na din anay at mga ipis para isahang abala nalang. Then Lahat ng butas na pwede pasukan ipa seal mo better kung semento para di talaga makapasok. After that dont leave any food sa table or basura overnight kasi yung amoy niyan nag aatract. Tuwing gabi ilabas mo trash tapos food lagay sa ref.

Also get a dog, yung askal mahilig pumatay ng daga. di na kelangan ng may lahi.

Or get a cat yung kamukha ni Tom!

baka hindi lang maayos pagkalagy ng bait sir. try niyo ulit. this trap was always effective sa house ng lolo ko sa baguio. hanggang sa naubos sila..

OT. i remember one time when my lolo was opening a drawer. may lumabas na rat. biglang sinara ni lolo yung drawer, naipit ulo ng rat. hindi niya mabitiwan drawer since baka makawala. tinawag niya pinsan ko, pinakuha ng pliers then said to him "i-pliers mo yung ulo!". with closed eyes, inipit ng pliers ng cousin ko yung rat. damn gross! daming blood sa kamay nila pareho. hehe

I just saw a rat inside my room! I am deathly afraid of rats!!!! I don't know how the hell it got inside our house! Probably someone left the door open! arrgggggggggghhhhhhhh!!! I always remind everyone at home to make sure that the door is flat because this is precisely what I do not want to happen.

Pest control is not an option. I am thinking of using racumin or buying a mouse trap. Any more suggestions on how I could get rid of the rat? I already kept all the food inside the ref. LAKING ABALA TALAGA!!! We usually don't put fruits and bread inside the ref but with a rat around, it might not be safe if left in the kitchen counter.

What's the most irressitible food for rats where I could mix the racumin?

as for rat trap.... kung bubwit lang yan (less than 3 inch)... try using a fly trap (yung parang dilaw na bond paper ang laki na merun alketran/molasses yata yun). Pagnapadaan siya dun, siguradong didikit siya at mahuhuli mo na.
