i've said it before: whoever designed this latest batch of coins should be made to receive and spend their salaries in those exact denominations. That way they can bear witness to their own incompetence.

Tingin ko nagpapagulo sa coins eh yung mga luma. Yung difference ng new 1 peso and new 5 peso eh almost kabisado ko na sa muscle memory ko. Although sometimes verify pa rin pag di sure. I wonder kung mawala na yung mga lumang barya if that would help with distinguishing the coins.

For us maybe, but for young kids and senior citizens I think it might be really challenging. Just my opinim though, I might be wrong.

By necessity time will definitely be able to teach most people but this should and could have been easier all along.

Wish they had considered shapes of old coins like this. These are small too so cheap to produce but would be easier to tell the value by just touch.

i was wondering about that, too.
square-ish.. scalloped.. x-agon.. hole in the middle..
i mean, these aren't new to us. why did the designers not think of them?

FB sellers who don't put the price tapos PM only! Kapag ganyan, no matter how much I want the product, I don't buy! What the hell is the logic there.

they don't want to be tied down by their advertised price.
they can easily adjust their prices, as per the tide of the times.

I've seen one justifying this practice as "to prevent competitors from knowing the price and sabotaging it (e.g. cutthroat pricing)". Don't know how true tho

Quite true, yung pa luge price just to get the client. Ang talo yung business. Importante talaga may good relationship ka rin sa mga competitors mo kahit kalaban mo sila.
