I last visited in 2013. I took a taxi (with my wife's cousin as guide) from LPC to Quezon City, doing a wife's errand. We took a bus going back home. Unfortunately, I dozed off on both rides while passing Makati. My jet lag had worn off and I slept really good.
Back in my time there, there was only one SM (Makati?). There was no SM in LPC. Just Fernando's. Ask CVT. He knew my stomping grounds.

Sadly, Fernando's is no more, bro. What has been erected on the site is a 15 storey(?) commercial and BPO building, with various restaurants on the ground floor...
There was also RFC at the mouth of Manuela, bro.... It is not, anymore,- I mean the building is still there, but it is now owned by PureGold.... The Hans still have their Dental Clinic across Manuela Ave,- but may not be there after a while, according to them because Mang Inasal would like to have their space for their expansion and so they are probably relocating to Verdant Acres.... [I miss the duckpin lanes at the Manuela Complex[near RFC] and the tenpin lanes at the Manuela Mall[near Philamlife Village]]
And the ricefields behind Manuela and Greenview are no more,- they've been converted to subdivisions....
BTT: The small rotonda here in Bicutan (near DOST),- the TE stopped the vehicles from Camp Bagong Diwa,- so that we can cross going to the East Service Road... These motorcycles [from the stopped traffic] just kept on going and would like to cross in front of us and proceed to the rotonda, effectively blocking our moving traffic.. And so, they got a healthy blast of horn from me... And still, they have the nerve to shout that "you do not own the road!".... WTF,- stop nga kayo and yet you still want to cross the intersection? That is so much entitlement from these nincompoops. I do not have respect for these kinds of people. And what did the TEs do? Nada! They are another sorry bunch of bano in our society....

Yup. It took Google Maps to show me the stomping grounds I remembered before are gone forever. Besides the rice fields, there used to be just the newly built Naga Rd and CAA Rd (intersection) at the Verdant area. I followed BF Homes to its northernmost extent, crossed a dirt trail into Paranaque, and ended up within sight of the airport perimeter fence where I watched planes take off and land.
I suppose this is a gripe in my part. I really liked the old style of Pamplona back then. But, you know. That's why so many people moved there. There's no halting progress. Oh well.
Surprisingly, a number of my wife's friends came from that same area between Manuela and BF Homes. When they learned I used to live at LPC, they started chatting with me more which irritate the wife sometimes.![]()

and recently, my new favorite mall:
sa basement ng Uptown Mall.
I do my groceries there these past few days coz I only have like 30 minutes for that
Me too! I only go to marketplace if I will just purchase a few items. I like central square because the grocery is right beside the parking (but make sure you purchase above P500, otherwise the parking is P100 ata for 3 hrs) I go to Uptown for the siomai. It's so good! Still, kulang pa rin selection sa BHS and Uptown and doesn't compare with Landmark or C&C
